What aspects would indicate showing someone is a bad influence? Too much Jupiter?

I immediately thought of my one good friend who is my "trouble" friend. She can get me to over drink or over spend like no one else. We have Jupiter square Venus.

definitely think harsh Jupiter aspects would play a role here.

Harsh Jupiter aspects cause overindulgence. While it doesn't destroy a relationship, it also isn't favourable.

Jupiter is always favorable in synastry it’s nice even with the hard aspects. I thought it could be bad because I felt as though I was having too much fun.

It's not a bad thing. I love this friend dearly, it is simply that when we are together we overindulge. Lots of laughing, she can get me to drink too much, stay out too late, ... that kind of trouble.

She's one of my closest girlfriends and favorite people.

And that is the unfavourable part. For a serious relationship, you don't want to be just having fun, fun and fun and not take care of the serious stuff.
