Hi guys,How one determines a house ruler when the house falls in between 2 houses/signs. In example, with ASC at 25 degrees of Virgo, the 7th house starts at 25 degrees of Pisces but the majority of that house will be in Aries. Would you look at Neptune as the ruler or Mars or both? Thank you! IP: Logged |

It's Neptune because the house starts in the sign of Pisces.IP: Logged |

Is that always the case? Even if a sign is only occupying that house with like 1 % (1-2 degrees). It just feels somewhat odd to me to focus on the characteristics of the planet that's only occupying a couple of degrees if 99 % of the house falls under another sign/ planet... IP: Logged |

Technically the same would be with your AC. Majority of Libra will be in there. Kind of like standing at the ledge of a pool. Are you on ground or in water? Will the cold water affect you or the hot cement? Perhaps even the longer it has been in a sign the stronger that energy will be? Just a thought. Like it has 'grown into it'. IP: Logged |

OK, now I am confused...Brenda, are you saying that pertaining to the example above, the person would mostly embody the characteristics of Libra? And would you still consider Neptune to be the 7th house ruler and not Mars?

No lol the opposite. Meaning, a third decan Virgo doesn't make them a Libra rising... the same with the descendant, the alignment is the same as far as degree goes. So yes in this case the seventh house ruler would be Neptune. So although it's true that the entire sign is in that house, the energy expressed is how the sign ruler is. Try to take an example of your chart and see how it plays out in real life perhaps? If you have that sort of configuration that is... IP: Logged |

I had the same question actually. My DSC is almost 27 deg. Pisces meaning the majority of my 7th house is Aries. The likelihood is far greater someone will place their Aries planets in my 7th house than Pisces, which I guess begs the question...which is more powerful? The house ruler or the house itself? Same with the ASC. With my ASC at almost 27 deg. Virgo it means the majority of my 1st house is Libra. If someone's Libra Venus or Mars falls in my 1st, close to my ASC, do they not find me as attractive? IP: Logged |

I have this. My ASC/DSC is at 28/29 degrees Scorpio/Taurus. So the majority of my first house is in the next sign (Sag). I definitely exhibit signs of the ASC ruler as my personality, and I need the sign ruler of the DSC (Venus) activated in synastry. But, I also respond to people's planets falling in the next sign since it is obviously still in my 7th house, which is Gemini.I do love Sag Moons in my first house though. And I have had Gemini Venus happen often in Synastry too. IP: Logged |
