It seems similar to me in regards to money. With one person my Moon falls in their 2nd house. And their Sun and Mars falls in my 2nd house. And with the other person my Moon is in their 8th house. But I feel inclined to help both of them. With the first guy though he gives me things too when I need them. I know the 8th house is about shared resources. So does that mean with this overlay both the house and Moon person likes to give each other money and material things?

I've found that 2nd house overlays tend to have a 'I want to do this FOR you/GIVE to you' whereas 8th house overlays are more a feeling of 'let me SHARE with you'. 2nd house feels possessive in that you want to be the giver, the one who is the source of comfort. 8th house is where you want to share in that feeling mutually, both benefiting and giving.

2nd is a little more selfish in nature of it's 'give more than take' (though I always watch out for giving too much and feeling resentful or like you're 'owed' something).
8th house is where you wanna share that and give and take and receive as much as you dish out.

I’ve read that with the 8th house it’s the planet person that does the giving to the house person.

This can be the case I suppose if it's heavily leaning on one person's 8th house. But I find it's less just 'give' and the 8th house does actually WANT in return, whether or not they realize it. They want the intimacy with whatever is in the 8th- so if it's the Moon, then they want to share and divulge emotional intimacy. Or at least will be prone to it, whether they are necessarily comfortable with it. On the other hand, an unhealthier expression (or simply one who doesn't have trust) can try and repress the emotional vulnerability and feel stressed about being in the presence of someone who lights up their 8th. It depends on the person.

But I find 2nd house is the either 'give' or 'receive', not usually both. 8th house is meant to be both, and if trust issues are a thing (especially in the 8th house person), then it can explode later down the road. 2nd house isn't as personal always, either. 8th house is 'wow this person is very close to me', can feel like they've been let into the inner circle without much foreplay. Which again, can be stressful on the 8th house if it's not something or someone they know or trust well. Or if that trust gets broken, it can be super problematic (Pluto/Mars energy kicks in as it's the 8th house).

Are you saying that the Moon or 8th house person would try to repress their emotional vulnerability and feel stressed? As the Moon person I wish the house person would open up. I feel ok with sharing things with them. But they talk me that it takes them awhile to trust people. But we've had sex so I don't see why they wouldn't trust me after having sex with me. I don't give the 8th house person money. But sometimes I'll buy them gift cards which isn't that expensive.

The 8th house person will be the one who may feel pressured to open up- the urge or feeling is there, possibly that they can sense the other person wanting them to open up. But it depends on the person, whether they actually WANT to or trust enough to do so. As the Moon person I can understand why you would want them to open up, as your emotions are sitting in their house- do you feel comfortable sharing with them? It is always different for everyone depending on what their trust level is. Just because you sleep with someone doesn't mean it opens any doors- not everyone is like that. In fact, sometimes it can close people off (this is usually their own issues, but either way). Sex doesn't automatically give you trust. 8th house doesn't mean money, necessarily (it's one of the possible things that could be) but generally whatever currency is valuable to the 8th house person (look at 2nd house/venus for what they actually value).

Yes I do feel comfortable sharing with them. Especially in regards to my emotional issues. Sometimes I think it might be too much for them. Being as though they are reserved. I try not to push or be too aggressive. What would someone with Cancer on the 2nd house cusps value? I have no idea.

My guess would be they value emotional care- or nurturing. Not necessarily the typical mother-value, but emotional capability. Capricorn in the 8th house though is VERY about boundaries and having those respected. I've always found those who have 8th house Cap are very 'traditional' in their shared nature, and often very private. They are emotionally expressive and open to others being so (cancer 2nd does value emotions and emotional maturity most of all) but they themselves are often quite closed or 'cold'. Capricorn is not overly emotionally expressive, so don't expect too much from them, or ever, and eventually they will open up. But it has to be on THEIR terms, or it's gonna backfire big time and they'll just up and close the door entirely.

Are people with Capricorn on the 8th house usually cheap? This person comes across as cheap to me. I'm not saying it's a bad thing but it is very And I assume that a person with Venus in Gemini would value intelligence? I have Pisces on the 8th house cusps. I Virgo on the 2nd house cusps and Pisces on the 8th house cusps with Venus in Pisces. I'm not really sure what I value. I'm not like the usual Venus in Pisces though because Uranus squares my Venus. I appreciate someone who understands that I like my freedom.

I wouldn't call them cheap, no. But it depends entirely on the person. I would look at their Saturn/Venus/2nd house ruler. Your value system is likely just different from theirs. Venus in Gemini does value intelligence, but more so someone who is interesting. Intelligence as a high level value would be more Virgo-style mercurial value. In Gemini it's more of whether or not the person is well rounded, interesting and able to be playful. Having Virgo on the 2nd house cusp would likely make you more inclined to have a very structured and specific value set (less flexible, tbh) but with Pisces on the 8th cusp it can be open to a more fluid intimacy with people. Just watch your own values aren't being projected and demanded from others in the same intensity as you hold to yourself.

But not everyone is well rounded though some people haven’t left their front yard lol. I like people who are well rounded too so that could be anyone. I like people who I can learn from. I read people who have Virgo on the 2nd house cusps can have a difficult time earning money.

I have never found that to be true- Virgo on the 2nd house cusp is probably less flexible with their value system so that may be the only factor that holds them back from successful earnings. But that seems more like a poor mindset as nothing in astrology is leaning one way or the other in terms of positive or negative; it's all down to the person themselves. (Free Will versus neutral Astrology).
