Everything I've read says that Sun conjunct Uranus means it will be an unconventional relationship where people look at the relating as odd. So I'm curious if this aspect could work out in a traditional marriage

Is it anything unconventional about them as people together? Do they give each other plenty of freedom?

Plenty of freedom. Nothing unconventional except my dad retired early and my mom continues to work. Is this unconventional?
