My friend asked me for advice but since I am still a bit of a newbie I could use some feedback.

My friend has been with his girlfriend for about six months. She recently found out that she was pregnant. He is worried because he feels like they haven’t been together that long to really commit.

Do you think things can work for them? His time of birth is known, hers is not accurate. He is on the inside. Thanks so much!

The odds aren’t good. Sun-moon square and Saturn-Mars square are very difficult aspects.

Oh man. Thank you. I’ll have to find a way to say it to him gently.

Mars sq. Saturn - found in many long-term couples, it’s not too bad, just annoying. Only If you don’t have much other nice aspects and Saturn natally, it could go bad.
In this situation, there’s Saturn square in natal so energy would be easier to handle. Moon/Jupiter in 7th and Mars/Jupiter in 5th - nice for long-term.
There’re challenges, dependency, ego issues and quarrels. It could become aggressive with hard Mars and Uranus in composite.. However, it doesn’t mean it won’t last.

Sorry I was wrong. Actually he is on the outside and her birth time is unknown so the planets in 5th and 7th probably aren’t in those houses

That puts her moon in his 7th, which is quite positive.

Saturn-Mars in synastry can create domestic violence. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have a 5deg square, and no other aspects which could also explain it. Another example is Kim Kardashian (Saturn) and Kris Humphries (Mars), who divorced after 2 months of marriage. There is video of her punching him. They have an exact opposition.

Of course it’s not inevitable, but worth being cautious because it can become quite negative.

My husband and I have moon in my seventh house conjunct descendant in dynasty so that’s good. What is good about moon in seventh?

They have bunch of aspects what could explain it. Synastry: Uranus opp. Sun, Mars sq. Jupiter, Saturn sq. Pluto.
Composite: Chiron opp. Uranus, Pluto/IC, Mars sq. AC.

I personally have somewhat positive aspects with Mars sq. Saturn. Mars is misbehaving, Saturn tries to teach Mars and annoys him. If they manage to accept different energies and lifestyle of each other - it works.
If there’s something like Uranus or Pluto in the mix, it could become violent.

I agree that Saturn-Mars can manifest in different ways. Are you the Mars person? It’s worth noting that with the hard aspects, the Mars person’s actions provoke fear and anxiety in the Saturn person, which creates the repression and controlling reaction. The Mars person may see the Saturn person as cowardly or neurotic.

Some couples with this aspect have split, but seemingly on good terms. Anna Farris and Chris Pratt, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr.

The 7th house is where you benefit from partnering and compromising with someone. For marriage-minded people, it’s a very attractive aspect. With the descendant conjunction, the recognition and attraction is equally felt by both. If the moon is conjunct the descendant, these benefits come from the moon person’s emotional reactions.
