I know that generally Jupiter(and sometimes Saturn) are considered the more "preachy" planets in synastry...

But whenever my Uranus is in a close conjunction or opposition to a personal planet - I can be extremely judgemental towards that person.. and it's always related to specific things that are in the ballpark of that planet...
For instance .. being critical of the way someone with Mercury conjunct my Uranus communicates.. or the way someone with Venus opposite my Uranus flirts...

Is Uranus a bit "uppity" in this sense?

The outer planet person will act defensively if he/she subconsciously perceives the inner planet person to "threaten" the ego in some way.

For example, an ego that believes itself to be an independent/Uranus thinker may attempt to ridicule/'put down" a Mercury person whose insights somehow challenge that belief.

I would look at Chiron's position as it is extremely critical.

It's not often talked about in the mainstream, but talked about A LOT in the E.C. work, that Uranus is the symbol of extremes par excellence.

In more modern terms, there is something almost a bit bi-polar like about Uranus when strong/highlighted.

How this can translate to strong Synastric connections is that a person who strongly contacts our Uranus, can bring out our inner extremist beyond the norm or average.

That means we tend to flip flop between high and low vibratory states in relation to them. When in the high vibratory state, we will be more loving, accepting, helpful, positive, etc to, or in relation to, that person. When in the slow vibratory state, we often will be fault finding, judgmental, critical, angry, and/or generally negative in relation to that person. The specific Planet and it's nature of the the other person, will give a clue to the kinds of areas and archetypes that we will respond to in these extremist ways.

And, it can flip on a dime. And then flip back on a dime.

Also, in general, there is often a bit of a superiority complex with Uranus. It's not like that of Mars, Pluto, and/or Saturn--but often more specifically related to intellect and perception, somewhat akin to Mercury, but with a different flavor. Uranus can be prone to looking down on dull/not bright, overly conventional, prejudiced, etc type thinkers and perceivers.

People overly conflate Uranus with Aquarius. There are definite differences though there is a loose connection. In some ways, Aquarius as an archetype is a bit faster vibratory in nature than Uranus. It also has a more balanced and smooth energy/expression often.
