As a composite chart aspect, how would you interpret this one? The orbs are under 2 degrees so it’s close. All planets are in Capricorn.

I’m not sure what to make of it because the Mercury/Saturn interpretation is worlds apart from the Mercury/Neptune interpretation...
*Mercury is in the middle with Saturn and Neptune on each side.

So putting them together... what are your thoughts? Could it be positive like a good mix of realism and idealism or... more negative like too much heaviness going on around communication.. sensitive issues being brought up etc...

This is a complex aspect so not knowing the complete composite can lead to wildly different interpretations.

In a composite of a relationship one usually is looking for emotional bonding.the potential here is that communication is not direct.this often show a partner who is secretive and private or even disingenuous or deceptive.
Then again it can show I dividuals of different ages,cultures or world views.
Or it can indicate a relationahip between very creative individuals.
Or it can indicate substance use issues in the relationship .
Or it can show malicious intent in a relationship for it can show a very spiritual or religious unity behind the relationship.
It really matters if this stelluim is afflicted or has favorable aspects.

This is the whole composite chart (with accurate birth times).

Would you say in this context that it would be mostly positive? Or could it still be related to things like drug/substance abuse?

This is square interesting there are very positive emotional aspect but there are also aspects of great selfishness.
Venus conjunct the sun and the moon/Venus and moon/sun midpoints conjunct the node give a very powerful love and affection .
But uto is square the which the possibility of selfishness and deep issuescwhich to interfere with the love.
Pluto is sextiles the Saturn/mercury/Neptune stellium which shows a loyal,supportive,sensitive,healing loving nature (mars/Venus mp conjunct the stellium) to the relationship. But the pluto square is not necessarily ameliorated by these sextiles.

Mars is square to the Pluto/Chiron mp which can be very selfish and at times destructive.

Though the Uranus/Jupiter conjunction can show sudden commitment or marriage ,here the mars/Saturn mp is conjunct to Uranus and Jupiter.this bodes a unstable relationship and as the mars/Neptune mp is also here ,it could well involve substance abuse.
The emotional connections ate magical but it seems there is too much selfishness.in addition the moon is did file to the sun which indicate there are many little differences in their natures than tend to irritate each other.
