Topic: Signs Of Toxic Parents That Always Want Control

I didn't think I'd be asking this
but for the longest time my parents always want to push there ideals onto me even if there ideals aren't suited for me.They use the excuse its because they care for me but its really about power and control. Whenever I brake free they always turn to bribery or try to make an offer to me that I can't refuse to come back under there control. Can someone explain why they whould do this type of behaviour? I've included my chart, my mother, my dad and the synastry I have between each
parent ( FYI: i'm not 100% sure of there birthtimes).

Isn’t it what parents usually doing... No?! I think it’s more involved with transits than with synastry. Transit Pluto at 25 degree Capricorn. And it was going through this sign for a while. So it hangs right on your AC, and Saturn affects your Venus. Also, it’s in your parents 4th house what is related to home/ family. And the mom’s AC, Sun were under Pluto transits for a long time, now it’s moon.

I also would think it's quite a classic parent thing. And just looking at their natal charts, I really don't see any red flags that would suggest that their way of being or showing love is a kind of power trip for them. At least to me nothing that screams dominance issues. With their venus in cancer on the contrary their way of showing love is strongly nurturing. So I honestly think it's just their way of caring...which just happens to clash with your personality. I could imagine that a venus in cancer way of caring just too much for a sun opposite uranus personality like yourself. You need breathing space, freedom to be yourself. Also, and I'm not good in interpreting this, but I wonder whether your venus opposite pluto may always feel easily dominated in close personal relationships. So my gut feeling is it is just a combination of what parents tend to do anyway and their nurturing style just really, really clashing with what you need to be yourself and therefore feel accepted around them. @Librapurr. I think you might be right about the family part.I remember my Dad said he got my mom pregnant so that she whould be forced to marry him, the child ended up a miscariage. Then the power shifted to my Mom because she's the bread winner and she has a much better pension then my Dad. I'm sorta in the position of I know what manipulation, power and control games are like. I will admit I used some of it while in high school. But I don't want to follow this chain it's just not right. The sonner you get away the less you'll be like them. quote:

Your exactly correct... I rember my mom saying in her mind i'm still her baby boy. I'm thinking what...i'm an adult for christ sake. Thanks for your responses, very much appreciated. My Planets
