In the composite chart, does Venus square Pluto represent having a mixmatch set of values?

For example, our Pluto in 4th (also ruler of IC) square Venus (MC & 3rd), does this relate to how one wants to work more than another? One person wants to work a lot to retire early while the other believes in a consistent work life balance and nourish the relationship?

I feel like love and strong chemistry isn't enough if the values are conflicting. Is this what it means?

Sounds more like Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury. Venus Pluto create chemistry, complicated attraction, jealousy.

Also, it might be your natal placements.
I know there’re people who need to be politically, culturally, financially, spiritually, mentally on the same side. For me, it’s not necessary. Maybe, heavy Saturn, Capricorn, much fixed energy.

Partners could take different roles in a relationship. I think a described situation could be balanced. Two workaholics might work worse together.

Librapurr, I agree with you on that, having different roles can help if it was a team. In our situation, I feel we played out as two individuals living separate lives. And I don't really fit into his family dynamics. I like being different as long were all accepted for that. Outcasting is another issue for me for sure. It def a natal thing too.
