Hello all,Say a person has a natal opposition.
Person A’s planet trines one end, sextiles the other.
Person B’s planet squares both planets.
How would the difference play out?
I would imagine that the trine/sextile enable the behavior while the squares motivate the natal opposition to work through their own stuff.
For example, let’s say the opposition is between Neptune and Mercury, and Saturn is the planet making aspects to this opposition.
So, natally, the person is prone to a lack of judgement, living with their head in the clouds, not knowing how they come across to others, unintentionally deceiving people.
When Saturn trines/sextiling this, it may make the person continue to act in that way, as if person B encourages that behavior. How this would play out, I’m uncertain.
When Saturn squares that, Saturn person sees through the BS, tells them to get their act together, think concretely, say what they mean. With the square, Saturn has no patience for the confusing behavior of Mercury.
Do you have experiences with trines vs squares in synastry?
