I feel like a lot of people turn their heads when they're offered a vedic interpretation of their chart because they always use Western astrology as their initial reference. Western astrology in my opinion is more so associated with what is going on outside and how people will interpret and react to stimuli of a person's sign.Vedic astrology in my opinion does a much better job at assessing the -real- personality of an individual.
Here's a trick I've learned.
Login on astro.com
Use the "Circular chart" method, or whichever you're used to
Scroll over to ZODIAC system and use Fagan/Bradley.
Once you cast the chart look at the degree of your signs in each planet.
Then head over to http://www.astrotheme.com/the_360_symbolic_degrees.php
Put in the sign & degree and you will receive an accurate interpretation of that sign and degree.
In my opinion this method offers potential insight to westerners on their real destiny/fate based on their kundli/horoscope.
Let me give you an example.
In my Vedic chart my Sun is in 27 Gemini
This is the interpretation of the degree & sign associated with 27 Gemini
"Generous, cheerful, and hard-working character. One enjoys an excellent health and a happy life amid a large family and a host of friends. Success can be achieved in animal husbandry, or the exploitation of land, mineral, etc., as well as in arboriculture and botany. Careers in science, philosophy, religion, and the arts are also very favoured. This degree brings about fertility in all areas, including in the family with the birth of twins. If in the natal chart, this degree is in conjunction with the Midheaven and Jupiter, it promises honours and big wealth. With the Sun, the Moon or the Part of Fortune, unforeseen windfalls and legacies can be expected."
