So, most recetly I have been reading into Vedic astro and have read a lot of interesting things but the most interesting so far has been North Node(or Rahu in Vedic) influences. In Vedic astro, Rahu or North Node is looked as a malefic energy and has especially malefic results on a person when conjunct the natal Moon. Now, I just wanted to see if there is any people who have Moon conjunct NN and can actually relate to this. I am posting a video and article below which explains some of the influences and also a video which further explains. article http://astromnc.blogspot.ca/2011/01/dra-rahu-yuti-moon-rahu-conjunction.html video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyYBTUQK1KU ^^ This guy even goes so far as to say that people with Moon conjunct NN are prone to infidelity.(see below) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjdpqb5soBE&list=PLF85808A5AE2460EC&index=17&feat ure=plpp_video Can anyone with this conjunction relate? or do you know someone with Moon conjunct NN is there any truth in any of this? Please share you views and thoughts... ------------------ Out of myself, but wanting to go beyond that wanting what I see in your eyes, not power, but to kiss the ground with the dawn breeze for company, wearing white pilgrim cloth. I have certain knowing. Now I want Sight. - Rumi IP: Logged |

I have a natal Moon/NN conjunct in the 5th house and.. I don't know. To an extent I can relate to what they're saying but it just reads as way too fatalistic for my tastes. Vedic astrology is very negative/fatalistic. I'm Eastern Indian as well, and what the article is trying to imply is that people with major natal North Node conjunctions are guided by an invisible string/force that only they themselves can translate, and it's disturbing to those around them because the NN people seem to be "defying authority" by going on their own route. I don't see the NN as a malefic in the slightest. I see it as a huge blessing even if NN people look bizarre to others looking in. I have no idea what I would do without my Moon/NN conjunction, it has given me so much psychic foresight in my life. I feel really lucky. IP: Logged |

Interesting thanks for posting violet and JFK. I've been wanting to learn more about vedic astrology but have kind of shied away from it because most of the info I'v found has been very fatalistic and basically saying that I'm negative and cursed in this lifetime. I know it's a lot more complicated than that but it's hard to find info... But I have NN conjunct Saturn and widely conjunct venus in 5th house. If I'm understanding the houses right... each sign gets a whole house?? Also does anyone know, are degrees not as important with vedic astrology? Is it more about the sign/house placement so that 2 planets in the same house are considered a conjunction? And I also have Ketu widely conjunct Jupiter in 12th house. I don't know what exactly all of that means but I'd love to find more info on it...IP: Logged |

http://www.barbarapijan.com/bpa/Graha/Chandra/Chandra_yuti_Rahu.htm This is an extremely interesting Moon/North Node vedic article.. I can relate to more things on here. For example: "Life with a Rahu/Chandra person can easily become a 'soap opera.'. Chandra + Rahu generates a deep need for intensely needy (Chandra), reactive, and volatile relationships with emotional intimates (parents, children, lovers) that is never satisfied (Rahu). The need for emotional excitement via moving illicitly but rapidly toward a higher station in life(Rahu) cannot be satisfied but rather "reiterates" in perpetuity. Can be psychically invasive, but also charismatic, fascinating, full of charm. Likes to stimulate the feelings of others and take psycho- emotional risks"

My 9 year-old daughter has moon conjunct NN and I hate to think her life is going to be that bad. She does get scary dreams sometimes and just recently has complained of "uncontrollable" thoughts. She's a Scorpio so I had to expect she would have some deep issues eventually. But that Vedic prediction is very dire-sounding (unless you get the appropriate locket?).Here's an earlier thread, with some cheerier Western interpretations: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/003032.html IP: Logged |

Thank you for the replies and input everyone.JFK, Thanks for the article, was a good read actually coming from a Moon-NN person. I dont have this conjunction but know of someone that does, I think I can also really relate to this acticle more in terms of what I see in the persons personality and behavior. I can really agree with being emotionally implusive and imaptient and being highly charismatic and maybe psychic. It is also interesting that a lot of the royal family members have Moon-NN conjunction. I am east Indian by background as well, and so was interested out of curiousity. @Everybody else, I still dont know what my take is on Vedic astro as I only know so much, a lot of the times is seems dead on a lot of the times not. I have been told my vedic astro chart is exceptionally good but of coarse I know, I have my downfalls. I think it is like that with evrything, you can only guess so much, the rest of the time the truth is right in front of you. Again, thanks for the input guys. IP: Logged |

Hey I have Moon/NN natally! I'm also east Indian and this probably explains why I find it so difficult to integrate myself into that part of my culture - I'm cursed as hell according to the cultural values there! lol I wish I was kidding, forever the black sheep. Luckily American/Western culture and I are on better terms with this astro aspect. IP: Logged |
