I'm just a beginner, but I really feel like my western placements (Sun, Moon, Asc), but try using your Vedic placements for transits, and tarot readings by sign (if you're into that).Where transits are concerned Vedic might change the sign and house (not aspect), and you may find the added perspective very helpful. I have. Also, when I compare my whole western chart to my whole Vedic chart, it's interesting to see my personality unchanged, but explained in a different way. Like I have a Leo Asc conjunct Merc and Jupiter in western. I lose that Asc in Vedic, but Vedic gives me an Aries Moon, so in the end my sometimes childlike, well meaning but hasty and impulsive, fiery foot-in-mouth expression is represented in both charts.
