Well, it suddenly went through my mind today... BUSH Junior has a **tropical** ASC-conjunct-Mercury in LEO.
But let's be honest, look at his speeches, they are too timid (on matters of the world), not convincing or spoken from his heart at-ALL to BE the **tropical** Leo bunch (asc/merc). All in all his speeches are pretty laughable - with a sharp focus on it - and it literally feels as if he's just reading whatever they put in front of him like at 1st class elementary school. In vedic he would be a ASC-conjunct-Mercury in CANCER.
Well, I guess nobody would deny his vedic radiation here! Or: a true lack of tropical Leo spirit!
___
And then I was thinking about my own ASC-conjunct-Mercury on a tropical and Vedic level (yes / bush and I both share a tight Asc/Merc conjunction).
^ In Tropical it's Virgo. In Vedic it's Leo. (1 sign ahead of his') I could always see the detailed VIRGO "bunch" in me. BUT... when I'm thinking about it, I'm NOT! ;D My focused-detail-radiation might very well be explained not only by Saturn which exactly square my Asc/Merc but also by the simple fact OF "Mercury" on the Asc! I was also thinking about being shy (or even better: reserved) in public (how is that ever possible for a leo Asc?) but that's probably (next to Saturn square Asc/Merc) my Sun/Venus in the 12th + the fact of having a Vedic CANCER Sun/Venus. Namely, I am not at-ALL shy/reserved when surrounded by people I like and feel great with, and then I'm a trueeeee Leo Asc/Merc <- THAT is my true nature when it comes to (intellectual) expression (in fact). Pretty bombastic / theatrical or how to name it. Ok.. will think about this more.
Any other (personal) examples to share? I'm curious! IP: Logged |

I wish I understood, or in reality, personally invested time into looking in my Vedic chart more, but I'll give this a stab.Someone on here in this particular thread, I guess is the term, has said that although their Vedic chart is obviously very different from their Western one, all the Vedic one does is describe what the Western one says in a different way. And I can agree with this to a certain degree. For example, I'm really sensitive. In Western astrology this can be attributed to my 12th house stellium if I use the equal house system. My Sun is exalted but debilitated by the house placement. Saturn being there too, makes everything, well, depressing not only by sign (its fall) but by house placement as well. Venus there means, I don't really know, that I have poor boundaries when it comes to relationships or something. Vedic astrology says that I'm sensitive due to my Moon not being in Leo (which I never resonated with anyway, but I don't know how I feel about my Mars now being there), but in Cancer still in the 4th. My Moon is now dignified but still facing an opposition with Jupiter. My Saturn is still in the 12th but now in Pisces. Going from literally zero water signs to 2 can possibly explain Vedically why I'm so sensitive. Lol, I hope this is what you were looking for! IP: Logged |

I'm no expert either but have you found any parallels between your Western and Vedic charts? Any new discoveries that made you go like, "Huh, that's interesting." Stuff like that.IP: Logged |

My tropical asc is gemini and I've always loved being a gemini person haha but when I saw my vedic chart I hated the taurus asc. One gemini description that never happened to be true to me was the "looking younger than your age"...even when I was a little kid people always tought I was older, now I'm 26 and when I say it no one believes, they say I am 30 or more, maybe its my jupiter's (in cancer in the 1st) fault. But now that I'm more into vedic I'm starting to realize that I am a bit lazy, stubborn, and not so adaptable like I thought I was before...IP: Logged |

Yes, I'm afraid so. And we must not forget that our tropical chart is typically SUN based and our Vedic chart MOON based. I can now say this since I have a better understanding of the astronomy behind both zodiacs.
But the vedic zodiac keeps pulling me back in with their so deadly accurate Vasya connection in my own life. Will make a thread about it soon.
