Soo, I've got both Jupiter and Ketu in Pushya, both located in my Ascendant. However, my Ascendant itself is in Aslesha.I can see some of the Aslesha traits, really just the fact that I like to squeeze like a serpent (in my healings/ massages) ... but really that is it! I do shadow work and am not in denial of my dark side by any means, but I really *seem* more like Pushya.. would having jupiter in this sign in my ascendant give it a stronger influence? thanks IP: Logged |

Yes, and you would benefit most during Jupiter dasha. Yellow is your lucky color. Activating chakra associated with Guru - Jupiter will help your career and finance path. ------------------ Free Information on Love Astrology IP: Logged |

Thank you SO much for your response and all of that wonderful information!!!So, are the pushya traits magnified by the jupiter? I am just confused if I have this "aslesha" side of me somewhere that I am not able to access or if it is really not so significant? IP: Logged |

Your exalted planet is your dominant personality. So, in your case it will be Pushya, next would be Ashlesha. One way you can be sure of which nakshatra influences you more is by checking out the appearance traits. Moon nakshatra will be important as it is your soul but exalted one will be the dominating one especially if it is receiving good support from other planets. ------------------ Free Information on Love Astrology IP: Logged |

Okay thanks so much! Yes I don't physically look anything like aslesha. I am tall, well built, strong, very large breasts, blonde hair. My moons nakshatra is uttaraphalguni and I do have some "redness" and also have a mark on the right side of my neck. The only aslesha trait I experience is sometimes I am afraid to ask for what I want so I go about it in a sneaky way, but I never have malcontent towards anyone!

Yes, like Niki said, Jupiter will have a positive influence in Cancer, in Ashlesha itself or on a planet in Ashlesha. I read that the lower degree planets influence the higher degree planets so with Jupiter in Pushya, Jupiter is 'in lower degrees', definitely shining its positive light in the direction of your Asc. My Mercury, Jupiter, and Asc all fall in Ashlesha. Some descriptions are unfortunate and some just make me laugh, but I do relate to some of the characteristics many would consider flaws. I have devious inclinations.., but ultimately I want good things for everyone, and I practice good. Jupiter is in the lowest degree, then Mercury, then My Asc. I definitely try to exercise balance in judgement. I am always looking inward at my own demons (embracing them) so that when I look outward at others I have compassion. I want good things for everyone and try to communicate the unity of oneness in humanity, but I am a little (or very extremely) naughty. Ashlesha is one of the most powerful Nakshatras. I don't understand why yet, but I've read/heard it said several times This Nakshatra excites me and I want to harness its energy. ------------------ Correction: Cancer Asc Aries Moon Taurus Mars Gemini Venus Aquarius (?) I like to think of the last water nakshatras Revati+Jyeshta+ashlesha as all exalted in some way. Or at least to some degree very potent.
My lagna/moon nakashtras are Pushya and dhanista while having Jupiter in Anurdha In navamsa it becomes anurdha Lagna/jyeshta moon I mean think about it they're associated with serpents(ashlesha), King of gods(Jyeshta), and cosmic ocean (Revati). IP: Logged |

I think I like the way you think. I know too little to hold an intelligent conversation with you though 😊. I'm still learning the Nakshatras. I do know that Revati is the last Pisces Nakshatra and Jyeshta must be the last Scorpio Nakshatra. IP: Logged |

Yeah Jyeshta nakshatra relates to Indra (Hindu God of God's) representing Jupiter basically. It is also the heart of the Scorpion Aslesha is a more solidified and evolved version of Pushya IMO. Like if Pushya is a yellow energy which represents abundance, nourishment, Aslesha subsequently is the deeper, darker yellow which in turn makes the mentioned aspects more embedded in the psyche but less prominent since it is more evolved.
