It has nothing to do with debilitation in terms of retrograde itself. The negative symptoms of retrograde planets can be best simplified as "Sometimes, more is/becomes less" Because exerting more venus qualities than others sometimes drive people to be more vulnerable and therefore ultimayely becoming more defensive/withdrawn of their venus qualities. So in short, I would assume that the goal for venus retrograde individuals is to.. find the balance in the area of their venus qualities.
