I'm a little confused about it.Sun in Aries 0° 19' plus Sun in Libra 24° 22' is equal to a Sun in Capricorn 12° 21' in composite.
That same Sun in Aries plus Sun in Libra 9° 1' is equal to a Sun in Capricorn 4° 40' in composite (I've never understood why Capricorn instead of Cancer).
I'm trying to calculate a midpoint between two different asteroids of two charts (so I have to do it manually), asteroid 1 is in Aries 23° 14' and asteroid 2 in Libra 2° 18', giving as a result a midpoint in Cancer.
I've tried it again with an asteroid in Libra of my chart at more degrees than the asteroid 1 to test, and I've got a midpoint in Capricorn.
I interchanged their places (a-b for b-a, I use Ebertin style) and it continued resulting in a midpoint in Capricorn.
Sometimes I use the table to calculate midpoints, and when I get a midpoint (for example) in Virgo, astro Ebertin shows it in Pisces, so I don't know how to calculate them correctly because I realized in some cases you need to plus 360° to one of these asteroids.
Jupiter in Leo 3° plus Asteroid in Scorpio 9° is equal to a midpoint in Virgo 21°.
BUT Asteroid 1 in Taurus 17° plus Asteroid 2 in Capricorn 21°, with the table I got a midpoint in Virgo 14° while Ebertin showed a midpoint in Pisces 14°.
I'm lost about it.
