GalacticCoreExplosion quote:Originally posted by Sinder:I am not sure about my time of birth. Please help! There is the quick and dirty way of correlating looks with an approximate Rising Sign. It's not always that quick though, because sometimes a person has a very complex and/or blending Ascendant--meaning a lot of altering of the basic archetype of the Rising sign. This can be due to cusping with another sign, strong and close Planetary conjunctions or oppositions with the Ascendant degree, with the faster moving ruling Planet, and even trines and squares from Planets in or near highlighted areas of the chart (the other Angles and the 5th especially), are known to indicate a strong altering of the basic archetype of the Rising Sign. But there is the more involved and intensive process of looking at major life events and correlating these with transits and progressions. Personally, I like to combine the two, but I don't have the time or energy to do this currently. GalacticCoreExplosion I have also noticed patterns in synastry of people that we are particularly close to/affected by, tend to share a lot of same and opposite sign connections with important and/or personal placements in our chart (but between different symbols most often--meaning Sun to Moon or Sun to Rising is more affecting than Sun to Sun, Rising to Rising, or Moon to Moon). The Rising/Ascendant very much figures into that as well. In particularly close and affecting relationships, its not uncommon to find Sun same or opposite the Rising Sign, Moon same or opposite the Rising Sign, Venus same or opposite the Rising Sign, Mars same or opposite the Rising Sign, or to a lesser extent (unless Jupiter or Saturn is very highlighted/key in both charts) Jupiter or Saturn same or opposite the Rising Sign. Hence, this can also help to narrow things down a bit along with the other ways. vansioBirth-time Rectification Calculator: http://astro-app.net/apps-rectification.php?lang=EN GalacticCoreExplosion quote:Originally posted by vansio:Birth-time Rectification Calculator: http://astro-app.net/apps-rectification.php?lang=EN Out of curiosity, I did the above, and it gave me Capricorn Rising with Sun almost exactly conjunct the Ascendant. Have/had children? Divorced? Siblings? Do you have any friends you still have contact with? I've found that if you look through all of these people in your life, you can narrow your Ascendant. It works even better if these people, especially children or marriage are great indicators, especially if they have something in common, like say, Husband/wife has Mars in Capricorn, and one of your children also have Mars in Capricorn, if you don't have Saturn Conjunct, opposite, etc.. Mars then it's a safe bet you have Mars in the 10th House. Again just an example, but start with commonalities with others and see how they match your own chart and look for least suspected planets to ensure they really match up. Also don't forget about Parallels/Contra-Parallels. Those can help too.RandallBump!Sinder quote:Originally posted by CardinalT-Square:Sinder, are you married? Have/had children? Divorced? Siblings?
