astra7 | What aspects make a person to develop hoarding tendency? I think it's something to do with not having enough, need to have everything regardless of value of items, just in case there will be a rainy day kinda scenario. Cancerian? Inspired by this video. wow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6qfP57Ikp8 |
Dreaminess | Haha i have a cancer moon and also moon square mercury and i`ve had issues throwing stuff away and i do have the "Just in case" thinking haha. |
bansheequeen | I have cancer moon too and a 4th house stellium. I cant throw weird trinkets away because i get attached to them or they remind of of a time. |
athenegoddess | I always throw stuff away and never keep anything. I have a Cancer Sun. I'm thinking negatively aspected 2nd house placements.. Taurus. |
starmoon | true hoarding is usually a mental/psychological issue. just being a junk collector is probably sentimental signs - likely a majority of the cancer and pisces people who attach a lot of meaning to items. i think it might be the cancer/pisces moons and venus signs more than the suns/mars/asc. although scorpio is water i'd think the vengeful part of that persona would have an easier time releasing things. |
ReadingTheStars95 | I say Sagi.. Kinda. My Dad has a pretty strong Sagi in his chart and he has times where it seems he is hoarding things a bit.. However, most of it isn't sentimental. Now.. I could agree with the Pisces thing. And, maybe Cancer. Taurus DEFINITELY comes to mind. If you want to talk about the sign of Nostalgia, especially in relation to items, Taurus would probably be the poster child in my opinion.. Me being a Taurus myself (8th house) and knowing a few Taureans.. I have to say.. If there are things in a room that remind them of the past, I don't care what is happening right now, they will also be experiencing those things that happened with that item.. Along with the present experience. In fact, being in the same room with one of those items may help them feel at home, even if everything else is different. Of course, Taurus can seem to take this to pretty far extremes. Any items that partly resemble anything bad that has happened, will more than likely never see the light of day around them. I think Pisces would hold onto Sentiment.. While Taurus would hold onto the experiences that the item reminds them of. It's similar, but not quite the same. Pisces would hold onto a gift, simply because of the fact it was a gift.. And so might Taurus.. But.. I feel like if there are no strong memories attached to it, it might just hang out in a cabinet somewhere. However, even in saying all of that, I'm not really 100% sure exactly what I think about this, or what I've said so far. xD xD

d Interesting. And why is this? Saturn=save? |
mollywu | My bf has a problem to throw away things, even most of things are useless forever. He has Taurus Sun/Moon/Mercury conjunct together in 2nd house. |
Geeky | My daughter doesn't like to let go of anything, even wrapping paper from her birthday presents (I have to throw it away behind her back because she does border on being mental about it). Pisces Ascendant, which means Taurus rules the second house. I think that is what it is in her case. ------------------ “Most people would rather be sheep than stand on their own with antlers on.” |

Dons2angelss | My son's moon is in 2H Aquarius and he hoards trash... Yes trash! His room is filled with garbage truck toys and every one of them are filled with pieces of paoer he's shredded, random Legos, bottle tops, my God anything he can get his hands on that isn't valuable to anyone else. He's also made me take pictures of him posing in front of our apartment's dumpster. He's 4 btw and has been obsessed with garbage and trash since he could walk. |

I have this placement. And originally, I have an inclination toward hoarding. As a child, I hid and saved candies from holidays for the worse days. But the life and Aries parent tried to teach me not to hold so hard for a lot of things. |

Haha my mum is a Virgo and she ADORES throwing stuff away.I remember being in kindergarden and drawing something for her and finding it in the trash the day after lol.
I have a Cancer moon and ascendant and I don't hoard at all. I have moved so many times in my life and maybe because of this I think owning too much stuff is counterproductive. My Taurus sun boyfriend who has moon and mercury in the 2nd house tends to hoard stuff that I would throw away because he thinks the stuff could be of use in the future.

Ohhh I am sorry, I would think I would keep it at least for a while your drawing, hang it on the fridge. Now you can take pictures, I do value artistic expression. Yea he thinks he will need it for one of his future projects ect |
Moonbeth | This made me think of this interpretation on astro.com Moon Trine Midheaven You become so attached to objects as well as people that you tend to think of them almost as part of yourself. (...) You like to be surrounded by familiar objects that remind you of the past, which is very important to you. Also you may enjoy owning old things, which could mean that later in life you will collect antiques.(...) Interpretation by Robert Hand from "Youth Portrait", which is also an interesting read for grown-ups. |
