T O P I C R E V I E WMohini108I’m talking about aspects that are like 0-2 degrees. Either exact or virtually exact. Don’t the aspects this tight tend to play out pretty noticeably? For example, a couple has a Mars/Venus conjunction at like 1 degree, and also a Venus conjunct Jupiter at exactly 0. I know one or two aspects don’t tell the whole story of a relationship, but since those two aspects are so close, won’t they have a rather substantial effect on the people anyway, because they are oh so tight?Won’t any hard aspect from like 0-2 degrees, play out “the most” between two people? hypatia238Definitely and ofcourse. OrangeYes! And same applies for natal aspects too Aries23DegreesI think it also depends on the two people concerned. I had a tight Venus/Mars with a roommate. Our tightest aspect. And I just found him ANNOYING!!!But I reckon with another, it would be awesome. Sometimes tight aspects don't equate to a wonderful relationship. It depends on how the individual with the natal position has developed it.Say for instance you meet someone with a Cap Moon and you have the Asc in Cap in conjunction to it.If you are the typical Asc in Cap & have developed the Cap energy i.e sober in approach, sharpness of mind, restrained in emotional expression etc. Then if that Cap Moon has done the same, you two would get on and just "get" each other instinctively. But if the Cap Moon conjuncts your Asc and the Cap Moon is the type that is under-developed i.e morose, depressive, cynical, lacking focus, unexpressive and highly self critical. Then its a mismatch.I have met Moon in Caps that are awesome. And then others I just can't stand. And it confused me since their Moon was conjunct my natal Sun by less than 1 degree. The individual still has a choice in the expression of every planetary energy. They can either develop it or express its more negative traits.hypatia238Great point Aries23. I tend to like cap moons too.sassaquaAries23Degrees, it depends how that planet is conditioned in the natal chart as to how the other person in the synastry will feel it.It may be "annoying" if you're feeling their struggle or their anxiety, if, say, their planet is challenged.crystal_clearFirst of all, it really depends on the natal chart. If you have important Mercury in 7th house, communication might be more important in relationship than let's say 12 house Venus. 7th house rules shows who you seek in your 1 on 2 relationships.Secondly, tight aspects are nice but when a difficult transist or progression hits it, you have a serious problem. Let's say you have Moon square Venus. When Saturn hits one of them with a square, the other person has conjunction, opposition or square too. Difficult moment for the relationship times two.of you gave trine or sextile, it's a square for one only. Conjunction is a nice blend but also depends on natal condition of the planet. And strong planets often work to the detriment of the chart owner. I have Venus in Libra in 7th. Nice. But I am a people pleaser, I cannot stand a conflict. People who make nice contact to my Venus get also good aspects to Jupiter and Venus. But at the same time it works to my own detriment. So it all depends ...
