T O P I C R E V I E Wwhitewitch111Me and the boy I like, have a grand trine in our synastry chart, which involves my mercury in Scorpio in the sixth house, his moon in cancer in the tenth house, and my saturn in Pisces in the eleventh house? What does this mean?Lotis WhiteIt's a good sign especially if the orbs are tight. Like if they are aspecting within 3 degrees or less of each other. It means your mental/communication ability (Mercury), and sense of duty (Saturn), harmonizes well with his emotional needs. Your way of speaking, and way of handling your responsibilities make him feel at ease and secure, like everything is going to be fine.CeridwenThough I basically agree, sometimes a GT, if in tight orb, aligns with a midpoint picture. In this case possibly his Moon= your Mercury/Saturn. That would give seriousness and sincerity to the communication of course, but might also emphasize a dormant tendency of yourself to be too critical with yourself, sometimes Mercury/Saturn can also be a sign of frustration or even depression. In the better case the connection with him might make your thinking more focused and structured and serious though.Since the midpoint picture is created through trines though, I think it will have more smooth results, probably just giving a flavour of purpose, meaning and sincerity to the whole connection.OrangeCeri,Midpoints only work with the hard aspect. Trines do not apply.Had it been a T-square or a Grand square, the planets invloved would have been in each others midpoints.CeridwenOrange,I only use conjunction, opposition and square with midpoints. However, in a GT, if the orbs are REALLY tight, we have an accompanying midpoint picture.Let`s say her Mercury is on 10 Taurus, her Saturn is on 10 Capricorn and his Moon is on 10 Virgo. The midpoint of her Mercury/Saturn would fall onto 10 Pisces, OPPOSITE his Moon, and thus a midpoint picture is established. However, the trine aspects might act as a "cushion" for this midpoint configuration. It would probably be harsher, if her Mercury had been opposite her Saturn, and both squaring his Moon.whitewitch111Thank you all very much. I really do appreciate it
