littlecloud | Can anyone "teach" me horary? Starting from the itty bitty basics? |
Still_Hopeful | me too me too |
JohnFKennedy | This site has helped me out A LOT, it really goes in depth, in my opinion: http://moonvalleyastrologer.com/horary_astrology.htm And this is a good thread that helps gives perspective on horary by modern astrologers standards: http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8879 |
littlecloud | How do you set one up? You ask a question and then make an event chart based on that question? What if your watch/phone is always set 5 minutes ahead? Do you make a note of that time you have or do you go 5 minutes behind? |
littlecloud | hey JFK, can you explain how time is figured out a bit better? I understand about the houses but the degrees confuse me. For example if you count 30 degrees and and time is measured in weeks then that means 30 weeks right? |
Got Gemini?? | I like the moonvalley page. I prefer using all the strictures and the traditional rulers. Sun = Leo Moon = Cancer Mercury = Gemini & Virgo Venus = Taurus & Libra Mars = Aries & Scorpio Jupiter = Sagittarius & Pisces Saturn = Capricorn & Aquarius I also prefer to use 7th house for all love questions and 5th house for one night stands and non serious flings and affairs. Other than that, I'm still learning! I'm trying to grasp how the moon works and all about the aspects it makes. ------------------ Gemini Sun Libra Moon Gemini Mercury Cancer Venus Virgo Mars Virgo Asc And yes, I'm a guy! |
amowls** | I use 7th house for all love affairs, including flings (who's to say it won't turn into a love affair) and for all charts where the other person is asked about by name, which is how I learned it from The Only Way to Learn About Horary and Electional Astrology by Marion D March and Joan McEvers. |
littlecloud | amowls- Do they by any chance have a website? It's hard to get books where I'm at. |
amowls** | You can get them on Amazon under $10 |
