T O P I C R E V I E WayujegegPeople say that if you have retrograde planets in your chart, you're very perceptive, inward looking, a loner, different, an outcast, confused, late bloomer etc.I have no retrogrades, 0. I'm ALL those qualities above. I ahve met many people who have 4 or more retrogrades and are very expressive, talkative and seem to fit in quite well.curiouspisces89I agree totally! I know few people who have their personal planets retro and I haven't noticed any of the above in them. And then I know people with some placements who are like loners and inwards. I think what matters the most is aspects, signs and house placements. ValentineI've never heard of retrograde planets being that way, it sounds to me more a matter of being an introvert or an extrovert. I have Mercury RX and it doesn't affect me at all.ayujegegI don't understand ur reply. If I read the descriptions for each planet rx, I can identify with most. For eg my Venus is direct in Sag 7th house, and I find it difficult to be open to love and be affection and absolutely terrified of rejection. teaselI've read that the retrograde planets just aren't as overt in their expression. DrewMannI have retrograde mars opposite my sun and I am the most competitive and out going person you can meet!DopGangRetrogrades are not the only things that can cause that. Also, check your progressed chart. I have no retrogrades in natal but do in progressed. These other people may have retrograde in natal but not in progressed. Even then, there's many other factors. SDragonI believe in this retrograde crap... ;oIsaLmao, I also believe it. For exemple, I have mercury in virgo in the 6th. It would be great if it wasn't retrograde. But it is and I can assure you I have learning difficulties, or some type of disability.Electro DGXI wouldn't necessarily associate those qualities with a retrograde considering that those can be explained through other factors such as Saturn - ASC hard aspects, strong Neptune, and etc. A retrograde planet can "invert" the way the energy is dealt with. For example: those with Mercury retrograde have a hard time explaining things verbally but are excellent writers, and for those without Retrograde Merc, they would rather tell you than write it all down because they find it easier. I apply this concept of "inversion" to everyone I see with a retrograde planet, so it makes it easier to understand. ------------------Aquarius Sun, Merc, Venus, Uranus, NeptuneScorpio Mars conj. I say that because I have mercury direct in natal, retrograde in progressed. I do prefer writing but as my retrograde in progressed will be ending soon, I'm feeling a shift, or at least more balance in speaking/writing. Though I still prefer to write when communicating with others. Electro DGX quote:Originally posted by DopGang: Interesting. With my direct Mercury, I am a writer, but do not prefer it as a form of communication because sometimes I can find it difficult to get what I want to say across in the most precise way possible, so often one-on-one communication is better than writing. ------------------Aquarius Sun, Merc, Venus, Uranus, NeptuneScorpio Mars conj. I was held back in kindergarten ha and tried to be diagnosed multiple times for ADD/ADHD. I wouldn't want to think I have a learning disability or anything, but growing up, school was always some sort of challenge, it wasn't because I didn't understand the material, but because I never talked and was very secretive no one ever knew I knew anything they just thought I was a disruptive spazz lol. I think too because my Merc is square Uranus fairly tight, that it contributes to my occasional stuttering and mixing up words.. just having a chaotic mind!! if anything, I'm so damn introverted I process everything at probably waaaay too deep of a level, im super analytical and very skeptical.. ill dig and dig and dig into everything I scan over.. it can be a bit exhausting. @lycat74Right on man, fight the power
