T O P I C R E V I E Wandrea22.teaselNo, you use your time. You are a separate person, even as a twin. Dumuzi quote:Originally posted by teasel:No, you use your time. I am an identical twin myself, born 2 minutes younger. I have been told that as twins we split up the birth chart. So if you read things or astrologers tell you certain personality traits and it doesn't resonate with you - it's your twin. She was also always better at everything than me like singing, skating, dancing, etc. Don't know if that has anything to do with her being born first. You can also have very different transits - there is a huge element of free will in this life and being a twin and seeing that first hand really solidifies that for me. Me and my twin started out as very similar in personality, disposition and tendencies when we were young, but once we became teenagers everything changed. She became more secretive, moody, stubborn, made bad choices, dated a lot of losers and cheated a lot in relationships, didn't spend as much time with me. I was always a very open, easy going, friendly, happy go lucky, friends with a lot of different kinds of people, more innocent at heart, didn't really take her distance personal or take life too seriously but I did make good choices in my life. This continued into our adulthood. I made very good choices and she did not. This has created a lot of issues in our relationship as she suffers from a serious lack of self worth and likes to blame it on me. We had a huge fight in January of this year and haven't really spoken since. We have a yod in our chart that points to this difficult twin relationship so that's kind of cool, and it was triggered by our progressed moon in Gemini 1st house transiting over our Chiron in Gemini 1st house which is the apex of the yod. Being a twin is very special, but comes with it's own set of challenges. One thing you can do is to look and see if both of you have namesake asteroids. Me and my twin both do. My namesake asteroid is exactly conjunct our Venus/Uranus in Sagittarius. I have always felt different and odd, and lean more towards a loving demeanor but in a Saggy way - like my personality I described above. Her namesake asteroid is conjunct our Sun in Scorpio exact - and yes as you can see from her personality traits above she is much more of a Scorpio than I am. andrea22.ESSSSSC quote:Originally posted by AmberMoon:I have been told that as twins we split up the birth chart.I read something similar long ago, one owns/is/expresses/is affected by/defined by the masculine two (Sun/Mars), the other the feminine (Moon/Venus). I was always skeptical until I met a twin - and Jesus Christ yes.I'm not sold on total 'splitting up' - but do believe extra significance is divided along the masc/fem line (ie we all 'have' a Sun, but if a chart's Leo is MC - the Masc twin will be the career person etc).Aries23DegreesThose astrologers were likely on to something. Test the theory by using the 3rd house cusp as your Asc. Do events line up?I think the Asc will be the same for you both. But to discern the subtle nuances, try the method of proposed and use the 3rd house cusp as your Asc.If I were to meet a stranger born 1 minutes apart from me, the details will matter more i.e the dwadsamas , the co-rulers and relevant aspects of the dyads etc. In discerning differences in personalities between us.

this
your birth chart is still the time you were born, and even twins can lead very different lives
my ex's siblings for example were twins, minutes apart, but one died at 24 and the other didn't
i can think of another set of twins, same ascendant etc and one was born with hydrocephaly and the other wasn't
my twin cousins one is happily married and has rather severe health issues whereas her divorced sister has less health issues but is constantly going through custody drama etc they didn't have kids at the same exact time either
you really can't tell everything about your chart from your sister's at all
i think that person was referring to the 3rd house being the house where you can read about siblings from, but that's true for every chart not just twins and it's also things like communication and early education etc
