T O P I C R E V I E WMurikhiHello all!So I've recently done synastry on a new connection between myself and someone else. we have:Sun Conjunct PlutoVenus Opposite PlutoPluto Trine MercuryMoon square PlutoMars Conjunct Pluto/Mars square Pluto double whammyOur Mars' are extremely active but there are lots of squares and oppositions, though we have some trines as well.Any thoughts? I've read up a little on these placements and I get mixed feelings. Should I run for the hills or are these placements survivable? What have been some of your personal experiences with these placements?RandallBump!MurikhiAnyone have any insight?GalacticCoreExplosionV2 How close in age are you? How personally attuned to Scorpio and/or Pluto are each of you? How close are the aspects? Pluto is such a slow moving Planet that we share many similar Pluto aspects with many people relatively near our age. Hence, I tend to look at it most when there is a significant age difference, one or both people are strongly attuned to Pluto and/or Scorpio, and/or the aspects are very close. Preferably the situation involves more than one of these variables simultaneously. Meanwhile, Pluto is not an easy symbol/energy to deal with. It represents the deepest, darkest shadow parts of ourselves--the parts that really don't like to see the light of day, and which we are usually mostly unconscious to. Strongly Plutonian, 8th House, and/or Scorpio correlated synastries tend to "stir up" that muck in us and in them. Ultimately it is for conscious awareness and in the hopes of regeneration and growth, but it can also devolve to ever slower vibratory expressions, over attachment/obsession, etc. As the old saying says, it takes two to tango, and be willing to work on themselves individually and as a relationship, for it to ultimately work. It can, and there are some healthy Plutonian relationships out there, but I would not say that the average one tends to be healthy or happy. In short, takes a lot of mutual soul strength to move it towards a constructive direction. Strong Jupiter, Sun, Neptune, and/or Venus contacts (especially between each other and/or to the Asc-Desc axis or rulers, Moon, and/or 4th) can help to counter balance towards a more loving and considerate type connection. Strong Mars and/or Saturn simultaneously can expand/amplify the Plutonian selfishness and/or destructiveness. Nothing in astrology operates in a vacuum or as a separate part. It is always part of a larger whole that needs to be considered. saracarab80It depends of the sign, house and if it's retrograde or not.I have Pluto retrograde in Scorpio in 8th (conj. Lust also retro) and I barely sense it because in my case having both astros retrograde make me process both energies internally instead the explosive way in which people could think if these astros were direct. In fact, I NEED too much emotional security before I decide to take "that" step. Also, it's not the same a Pluto like mine than a Pluto direct in Libra in 6th. Pluto in Libra usually avoids conflict, if the rest of the chart accompanies it (Mars in Libra or Taurus, for example).Murikhi quote:Originally posted by GalacticCoreExplosionV2: How close in age are you? I am a scorpio stellium and the other person is a Cancer with their Venus opposing Pluto and moon square pluto. So the both of us are quite plutonic. I do feel comfortable with this energy but I am trying to be more cautious so that typical themes don't play out. We are 2 years apart in age. We do have some beautiful trines going on, Saturn links and some well functioning Jupiter so hopefully that makes for a peaceful Coexistence. However, I feel that push/pull already. It hasn't even been very long knowing this person. S
