T O P I C R E V I E Wappleberry.dysfunctionalmysticIt's a needle in a haystack but if you go to http://www.serennu.com you can type your date of birth in and then sort the asteroids by zodiac degree which will make it easier for you to see the ones that are closest to your natal planets. This is probably the best way to do it as you'll be able to focus on the ones that are more likely to have an effect on you. Serennu will list the first 1000 asteroids ad has a box where you can add other numbers too. There's a list over at astro.com and you can check through that for any that may be personal to you such as your own first name or the names of those important to you, names of countries etc. You find the list at the bottom of the page where you can check the boxes to put ceres, chiron, sedna etc into the chart.Ami Anne quote:Originally posted by appleberry:Very often I see people talking about asteroids that I have never looked up. Given that there are thousands of asteroids, which ones should I be looking up, beyond the basics? (If you have the asteroid number as well, that would be great)Go to Astrodients, for example. They have a list you can put on. Those are some common ones. It is study for all of us, Sweetie. It is slow going, but worth it.------------------Want a peek in to my journal? http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/appleberry.dysfunctionalmysticAppleberry that's something a few of us have noticed. I don't know if it has something to do with the software and the position it calculates from but I'm inclined to trust astro more. I should email serennu and just ask them about the differences...to be on the safe side I'd narrow down using Serennu and then punch the numbers into astro. I know it's a bit of a chore but using Serennu alongside does give some good pointers and still saves time.BelligerentPygmyWhen you use Serennu, I think you have to put in the universal time and date, which a lot of times is different from your regular natal data - for example, in universal time I'm considered as being born the next day. What I did was basically take that data right off of my astrodienst chart; it's right up there at the top.Plug that in and you should get an accurate asteroid chart, complete with the right ascendant sign and degree.appleberry.BelligerentPygmy quote:Originally posted by appleberry:Hmmm... not having used the universal time from astro.com, I wonder... are all the asteroids still in the right place or should I redo it?I'd redo it if you want the right ascendant.

I'd redo it if you want the right ascendant.
