AlexDern | He seemed so very accomplished and healthy...I cannot fathom why he did what he did and it scares me...because I am an analytically inclined and somewhat skeptic about astrology yet lean on it heavily. Will I too end up this way? |
RunAroundScreaming | What! I didnt know that. Didnt he prove to himself that astrology's real with the mars effect Crazy scorps |

Yeah but for some reason he passed away at 61 by his own doing...which scares me.. |
anonymidarkness | Maybe |
Kerosene | Lol because most people who are suicidal are seemingly crazy |
Odette | huh? @everything |
Odette | Why does the fact that he killed himself scare you? Do you identify a lot with him?Why would you think you will also kill yourself? That is in your hands. Don't you think so? Besides, did he definitely kill himself? I haven't read his life story.. And.. why would you be confused by a talented person committing suicide? Many talented people have done this historically. Life can get ugly for anyone. Also, how was he a skeptic if (as RAS says) he proved astrology to himself? Or did he change his mind later in life? What makes you think all suicidal people are crazy Kero? and finally - What was that "maybe" for anonymi? Seriously this whole thread confuses me lol :edit: Can someone at least post his chart? |
Kerosene | I was being sarcastic obviously...
|
anonymidarkness | That “maybe” was for his question, OP may have 7.000256 % chance of ending up like Gaquelin, who knows? hmm ? maybe . I can’t understand anything else either, brrr !! brrr!! brrr!! |

AlexDern | I don't know...sometimes when I open myself to too many interpretations of the full moon for example coming up...my head stars swirling...and I'm like "good grief." So maybe being susceptible to influence can lead to it.. Also..Michael was a believer but also not a believer...he was conflicted because he was a statistician and in his day in age it was painful to admit that you might believe in astrology.... |
theunknown | It happened 20 yrs ago |

I think this sort of thing happens when the person is split into too many parts, head says something, heart says something else, the body part we all love says something else. Don’t think too much, you’ll go mad. |
Comatoes | Well, he does have many sensitive astrology placements that can create problems with emotions and finding relief. Having sensitive placements myself, I can understand why someone wouldn't want to be here anymore, it's really hard to say because every suicide is unique with different situations and circumstances. Many people who do commit suicide look well put together on the outside, great accomplishments, but the inside is all in shambles. He did have Leo Asc. and they are known to put up a front, due to pride, but their insides are mal-nourished. I'm not saying all Leo Asc are like this. But fixed signs can be very strong in their convictions, once they do or think something it's hard to change them. |
fireopal09 | No one will ever know the exact reason with the exception of a horrific terminal illness why some chooses to off themselves. I have dealt with five suicides in the last 20 years and I am still clueless. 20 years ago, yesterday; it is still confusing. ------------------ Claire "When going gets weird, the weird turn pro." -HST |

That's good guidance! Stamp of approval from the mayor you get!

anonymidarkness | Thanks for the approval, mayor!! What’s the real question anyway ? |

I just wanted to know why he did it in case anyone here read his biography is all. I couldn't find anything on the net. |
Kerosene | hmmmm don't want to make the universe seem so simple.. serotonin=depression=suicide?
|
PixieJane | Plenty of reasons for someone 61 to kill themselves, especially decades ago. Health problems, constant physical pain, passing of loved ones they can't imagine living without (especially if there's no one left they love anywhere as much). It's not unknown for someone who feels they'll become a financial burden on their family to sacrifice themselves and others fear losing their independence (and thus dignity) more than death. Poverty at that age can also inspire it, especially mixed with medical conditions. It doesn't help that life must become boring, predictable, and even seem futile in a disillusioning process. Many people who are dying prefer to get it over with than waiting to die, especially if it's an agonizing wait. Not just old people, I've read plenty of accounts of people who gave up hope thinking they'd die and just got it over with. Not sure if it was true or not but one story is that a guy was found still warm after he hung himself on his boat, probably hadn't even been dead half an hour, but the guy's boat was dead in the Pacific and he was lost with no provisions, the guy must've decided that was best. And had he not been found I dare say he'd be right. On top of that the body can break down (such as high blood pressure, hypoglycemia, etc) or react badly to prescribed medication which can create huge mood swings and irrational actions, and these things are more likely to happen when one gets into their 60s. The medical knowledge and accomplishments of biotech are nothing short of amazing but humans really weren't designed to live this long, so it's possible that if nothing else the mind itself just rebels at it. Of course all the usual reasons such as scandal (perhaps he was being blackmailed, for example, or thought he was about to be charged with something he couldn't bear to have loved ones know about him), untreated depression, and such can play a part. It could even be stupidity, accident, or murder that only appeared as a suicide as well. I might kill myself when I get along in years (perhaps in my 80s or 90s given how medical science continues to increase our lifespan and quality of life as we get older), especially if I thought I was going to be placed in a nursing home that can be hell on earth and make anyone regret they were ever born at all while the rest of the world (including family) pretty much forgets them anyway. Note, I said "might." It depends. Not saying people should. |

I don't think Nurse Ratched could handle about your sense of humor or pranks so... yes I could see you doing this or I could see you staging a nursing home rebellion. But, that being said, I don't think you're the type who would allow people to place you in a nursing home and and steal your freedom. I think you'd make an awesome 90 year old great grandmother. Imagine how much fun kids would have with you! I doubt your family would stick you in a nursing home. Maybe Leisure World, but not a nursing home.
