T O P I C R E V I E WRegulus18Hi guys. For once I have a question for you all instead of an eloquent statement on an astrology aspect.So...I have my North Node in Aquarius in the 5th house. So when this aspect is googled some websites tell me I need to be less self centered--courtesy of my North Node in Aquarius.Other websites are telling me to neglect groups altogether and spend more time on myself--courtesy of my North Node in the 5th house. Which is it?Thanks!DeepFreezeI have a book all about North Nodes. It's something that I highly recommend anyone to read. (Astrology for the Soul) Now granted, I only read mine, but I picked up kind of how the whole thing works. I can check out Aqua and see if I can get a briefing on it. However, based on what I learned. You may need to let yourself go more emotionally. Get more personal in your relationships. Be more compassionate and accept other points of view. (Don't be stubborn!) Learn to feel more and think a little less. Get to know people more personally, one on one. When you do this, you'll find that you have a lot of fun! You'll be amazed at the world that can exist in a single person's mind and how much there really is to explore there. You'll make lots of friends and find real joy being personable with people. You'll feel closer in your relationship(s). Ha! Just pulled that out my butt. Now I'm actually curious to see what the book says. I was feeling lazy but I think I'll check. I found mine to be crazy accurate. Man it was freaky. I could see my whole chart in it and she wasn't vague in her descriptions either!! DeepFreezeI checked out the overview. Pretty accurate! Yay me! Basically, just get personal with people. Work on your compassion for people. Also, think of what's actually best for groups of people rather than promoting your idea. What is best for them may not be what you agree with. Things like that. Then yes, your personal happiness will grow. You'll feel joy in your heart! You'll receive a lot of love, and trust, and respect. Have many good friends and that sort of thing. Your friendships will change for the better. You'll be able to feel free, silly, goofy. Venusincap89Deepfreeze,I was told that house placement is what individuals should focus on, rather than the sign. (When it comes to north node)What's your take on that statement please?I bought the book as well, because you said it was good. But I am having hard time deciding on house placement or the signDeepFreezeI only read for sign and identified with it so much that I didn't read for house. For those confused. I have NN in Scorpio, 2nd house. The book said that you can read for Scorpio and also read for Taurus, the natural ruler for the 2nd. Actually, maybe by depending less on what the group wants/group mentality (NN in H11), you can develop the detachment and independence needed for that Aquarius NN. Looking back, I think I found my best friends (Aquarius, and now a new love - H5) by deciding for myself how far I can support and agree with what the group does, and walked away when what they did didn't feel right to me (usually it involved ditching/gossip about/bullying someone not in the loop - the typical Aqua weirdo type). Check out the house where you have the ruler of your NN as well if you're not confused yet. I've been debating reading for NN in Cap as well, as that's where I have my NN ruler Uranus. Plus NN conj Saturn, IC, Neptune & Moon. Ehhh, that's a lot. Hope that makes things more clear for you. Regulus18Yeah I've found Leos are the best fit for me. They're like big sisters and big brothers for me. I have never met a Leo I didn't like.Aquarians are on the other end of that spectrum. They are so strange, distant and rude, I can't imagine a world where I would ever voluntarily associate with one.Sorry, I'll keep my warmth and love for people. Keep the cool detachment.Venusincap89 quote:Originally posted by Regulus18: Aquarians are on the other end of that spectrum.
