T O P I C R E V I E Waleks92Hello,I recently meet a guy and we really hit it off. I felt comfortable in his company and he seemed like a nice guy. However he disappeared after short time, and after reappearing, his explanation was: "afraid of commitment"I checked the composite chart, and was (not so) surprised to see only red flags: Sun and Venus square Uranus and Neptune, Saturn square Sun, Mars, Mercury.. However, the synastry seems to be good. Sun conjunct Moon, Mars trine Mars, Venus sextile Venus..Any advice or thoughts? What do you think?Composite chart: https://i.imgur.com/Ijq70Tf.png Synastry chart: https://i.imgur.com/UyYCr6c.png Thank you all!Stoika7Hi aleks92,is he outside in synastry? If that's him, he looks very insecure in relationship matters cause his Sun is square to his ASC/DSC axis, and his Moon is square to Chiron/Jupiter, and his Jupiter is square to the Moon/Sun conjunction and your Moon, so his insecurity issues are triggered and visible in the relationship, even though yes the synastry is very good, especially Saturn on IC and Saturn on DSC, and the conjunction of the axis, this looks quite strong for committment, so it could be that he actually feels the bond with you but he has an issue of his own. You're also right about the Composite, Saturn square Mars is usually the man who is not up for long term committment, and Neptune/Uranus square Venus and opposite Jupiter is a very unstable trait, it seems hard to establish a stable reliable relationship. With Sun/Venus in 8th house quincunx Pluto and Neptune square Venus, and Saturn/North Node in 5th house, it looks like an outgoing relationship with two people having fun and enjoying each other also at sexual level but with no exclusive bond... and with Venus square Uranus it could be short lived, even though Saturn is trine to MC, so it's possible that things might last for a while with strong up and downs. aleks92Thank you Stoika7,detailed, informative and thorough answer!Yes, indeed, he is the outside circle. It seems that I should approach carefully and keep an eye on the whole situation.Again, thanks a lot for your answer, quote:Originally posted by Stoika7:Hi aleks92,is he outside in synastry? Stoika7You're welcome! Actually... it puzzles me cause Saturn/North Node would be quite favourable for long term, and also his Saturn in synastry, it might suggest that it takes time for things to get more stable, even though with Venus/Uranus you might always have ups and downs and with the other squares, Saturn square Mars and Neptune square Venus, I wouldnt expect him to be faithful and always reliable... so, yes, careful! HugstoddThe composite is obviously a fling or friends with benefits.any thoughts otherwise will just open you up to emotional anguish.todd RandallBump!livvywatermonkeyHey aleks92 ^_^I’m looking at progressed synastry & one aspect which stands out is a separating square between your progressed Venus & his natal Venus.I think for ongoing healthy relationship to “stick” or progress between you, you may both need to have comparable levels of self awareness about your patterns & what you bring to the table, in order to ride out the wave of tension between your underlying expectations this aspect may signify ... matching self-awareness could provide the “glue” to make this aspect work ^_^manderinI don't get it. How can you have great synastry, but bad composite and the other way around? Which one needs to be listened to?aleks92Hey, @livvywatermonkey,Thanks a lot.Very well said - "comparable levels of self awareness about your patterns & what you bring to the table". An omen for healthy relationship! Thanks again and have a great day,aleks92Hello manderin,Yes, true, it's confusing indeed. From what I researched, synastry and composite charts have different areas that they represent. Synastry is more about how we feel around the person, how his/her presence affects us, i.e. how our planets and aspects conjure.Composite chart represents the chart of our relationship - how we operate together, what stops or fuel the relationship etc..It seems they both are important in its own way. Let's hope at the end they will balance each other .All the best
