mirage29 | But, Breitbart is fake news!! |
jwhop | Sorry but this article is based on reporting from the Denver Post and McClatchy! If you're looking for fake news, you have several choices. In broadcast, it's: CNN MSNBC In print, it's: New York Times Washington Compost Nice try though. "According to the Denver Post, approximately 3,400 Colorado voters canceled their registrations after the Trump administration sought voter info from the states." "McClatchy reports that the Democratic National Committee and the Colorado Democratic Party have launched an effort to persuade Democrats to stay on the voter rolls." |

hahhahhah. Thanks! I knew you'd 'get' and appreciate that one! Take Care, Jwhop . Keep Loving Believing and Fending for America. There, in that place, in that aisle, we MEET on Common Ground. |
Catalina | When you realize fake news is ALL around you, not just on the side you don't like..maybe you will start to become a Real Boy. Till then... nice try yourself |
Catalina | A lot of people registered Dem to vote for Sanders and may have decided it wasn't worth compromising their info to stay on the rolls. Its hardly surprising Breitbart would pick up on this to make it about voter fraud. Hard to leave a question mark when your a priori beliefs might be questioned.. or to pass up a chance to make a political point. But is their conclusion about peoole's reasons right or just wishful thinking? |
Catalina | Before you decide all these people are illegal consider other concerns. If it was Obama making the same demands and threats would you be more prone to protect your privacy? Cause a lot of people want not too deregister but to go private And if they WERE illegals wouldn't that be a relief to Dems to have them off their soon to be inspected books? http://www.coloradoindependent.com/166227/colorado-voting-trump-unregister-confidential The majority of Colo is not registered to either party by the way |
juniperb | Since Colorado is a fairly even split state.... Pray tell, how does Breitbart KNOW it is Dems? They now spying on Americans too? Or just Fake News

jwhop | Seems you don't understand the registration and voting process. There's no reason whatsoever for someone to UNREGISTER themselves...unless they're unlawfully registered to vote. Let's say someone registered as a democrat wants to change their registration to Republican. They don't have to UNREGISTER. All that's necessary is to fill out the proper form. By the time the next election rolls around, you're going to see lots of illegal voters...UNREGISTERING themselves. |
Catalina | they are "unregistering because they just realized their info is being turned over to the Feds. The article points out how stupid that is but im guessing you didn't read it.. again.. but it doesn't mean they're illegal and it won't even hide their info. People register and de-register all the time, just not so many at once. Who said its all Dems deregistering? No one. It was "insinuated" by your snarky sources but there's no data except for numbers and regions. Quite a lot of people registered during the primary season who usually don't belong to specific parties..or vote at all... to vote for Sanders, Stein and even Trump. Now they want out again. Big patooties. |

It actually is. And is formed of men's rights activists who believe all sorts of nasty things about women - and women like Ann Coulter agree with them. |
juniperb | jwhop, you didn`t tell me how Breitbart KNOWS it is Dems ? ------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

Catalina | A lot of the SO CALLED deregistrations were actually people opting for confidential ststus as opposed to public. That's in the article too. They didn't deregister at all. But the jwhops of the world won't have noticed that. It doesnt fit their paradigm anymore than the lack of party identification in the facts presented. |
juniperb | Thanks Cat. I didn`t look at the article as Breitbart is so biased. I figured something wasn`t ringing true. TOO much big bro involved and I trust the Admin`s use of the info about as far as I can throw Steve Bannon. juniperb | Made me look OK, so jwhop overlooked the "apparently" spooked. quote: Democrats are apparently spooked by a sudden drop in voter registrations in the key swing state of Colorado
quote: notes that the number is hardly enormous, representing only 0.09 percent of the state’s 3.7 million voters.
Does NOT say if they were Repubs, Dems, Green or Independents. quote: approximately 3,400 Colorado voters canceled

Ah, thank you! Also, I do know people who registered Democrat, just to vote in the primaries last year. I was an Independent, and so was my dad. We aren't in Colorado, but it might explain something like that. |
Catalina | And some registered as Repubs to vote for the "Non Politician Trump"..or to nominate Kasich..people who never vote and may have decided they dont want to be registered anymore either. The largest numbers are in the largest cosmopolitan areas which also happen to be more heavily Dem than the rest of Colorado. They also have the largest number of voters, period. Hence the ASSUMPTION that the majority of deregistrations are Dems... The assumption that they are "illegals" is totally in the eye of the beholder making that assertion. Obviously the Trump voters are more likely to approve of his agenda and less likely to see it as suspicious. But many who voted for him are also already regretting it. |
jwhop | The Rats Are Leaving the Rolls? ‘Blame’ the Trump Commission! Larry Thornberry July 31, 2017The Tampa Bay Times reports that during a 20-day period almost 2,000 Floridians voluntarily un-registered themselves to vote. This number is more than 100 percent higher than the number of exits normally seen. One can’t say for sure that these folks are bowing out because of the work of President Trump’s voter fraud commission. But the timing is interesting, isn’t it? One can’t even conclude that these civic dropouts should not have been on voter rolls in the first place. But one does not have to have a suspicious mind to be suspicious. Florida is mostly cooperating with the fraud commission, in the face of whining from Democrats and the mainstream media (pardon the redundancy) about “voter suppression,” “racial prejudice,” “xenophobia,” yada yada. So perhaps more will duck and run as time goes on. An amusing wrinkle to this story in the relentlessly leftist Times is that the subhead cries, “Some blame Trump’s election commission” for the un-registrations. (yeah, the same leftist Times which runs the lunatic Politifact..Less.) Blame? Blame? Normally blame is ascribed to those causing something bad to happen. If Floridians who don’t think they are qualified to vote here, or don’t wish to vote here, are volunteering to take themselves off the voter rolls, how is that bad? How is this worthy of blame? That’s just the way they think at the Times. Pay it no mind. http://spectator.org/the-rats-are-leaving-the-rolls-blame-the-trump-commission/ Now, if we can just get all those dead people to unregister themselves, democrats will have a much harder time winning any elections. |
Catalina | Just the way they think And just the way you thinkEven your article admits no way of knowing if they're leaving out of guilt or just want their privacy, like juni. Your (and his) mind fill in the blanks. http://i-uv.com/new-research-shocks-scientists-human-emotion-physically-shapes-reality/ Funny that this writer scoffs at the times saying "some blame" and then goes them one further and removes the "some".. just to make the Times look as bad as possible? No *** without tat eh?😉
|
jwhop | Un-registrations are running at double their former rate. So, what do you think the cause might be. Oh WAIT! Man Made Global Warming is causing all those people to un-register themselves. |
Randall | A little too late. Gore would have added it to his new movie. |
Node | In other words neither of them are good at facts, graphs or maps. I once asked Jw how he ever got about without a GPS to show him where the state line was. |
