T O P I C R E V I E WGabbyI'm wondering if anyone else who has 12th house Karma has had a life full of isolation and loneliness?I'm wondering if this karma placement indicates your karma is to be alone until you balance and heal subconscious wounds that created your karma. The house placement shows karma will be what keeps you alone to force your focus inward, without distractions. Do you know anyone or are you a 12th house karma person? Do you feel this placement leads to loneliness? You will continue isolated until you force yourself to see why your hurt, allow yourself to heal and to learn the lesson of your karma(seem by sign and aspects).Do you see 12th house karma as, "it's your karma to stay isolated and living inside yourself" to force you to have no distractions or it won't allow you to have others around to blame your problems on, to focus on their problems n ignore your own or no one there to enable you to stay broken.....no one there to allow you to feel "happy enough" that your are not living in a deadly painful lonely place and can ignore what you need to heal. Our negative Karma is our guilt, the guilt for things that we need to let go of and forgive ourselves for, but can't. Negative Karma is the force that self sabatoges us.....our higher self needs us to see it and heal it, to forgive ourselves in order to overcome fear and evolve. If we don't do this we will recycle our pain and create a larger void by hurting ourselves further through our guilt.Karma in general, by sign n aspects shows where our souls needs us to forgive ourselves...but the house shows how or what our guilt will produce in our life...in the 12th it will produce isolation n loneliness from everyone, from life in general. Please give more examples as you see them....In first it would produce guilt potentially in feeling unworthy or bad for the way we are seen, like we feel that we hurt others unintentionally with our presence, possibly. My karma is in my 12th, 1degree off my AC...I've always struggled with feelings that I made others feel bad about themselves without intending to, so I used to go out of my way to bring others up by putting myself down. Which always left me hurting myself, putting others above me and not valuing my assets because I didn't want anyone to see them out of fear of hurting them.I also have the issue with isolation, it goes hand in hand with keeping myself hidden so I didn't unintentionally make anyone feel bad! poochycatHi Gabby,I have a LOT of 12th house aspects in my composite. I don't know enough about astrology, actually nothing! But I was told we have karma and it doesn't look good. I was told it will be painful and it's making me a bit anxious. Be it through astrology or numerology, my fate spells the same: this life would be about solitary, spirituality and serenity. My karma happened to be retrograde and negative events would repeat themselves again and again until you get it right. Lots of sychronicities and messages to let you know what went wrong. My NN is instead going direct. Somehow when planets/asteroids are moving against their usual direction, this would emphasize an inward energy, focusing on introspection. Transit Uranus is currently on my karma triggering moments of revelations and epiphany. For me, the lesson is on LETTING GO - the idea of no self/no mind. I learned this from the heart sutra in Buddhism, where it translates to: 'go, go, go beyond, go thoroughly beyond, and establish yourself in enlightenment.' It is about giving up of everything, including the ego, old concepts of religion or spirituality or any other ideologies, belief of rights and wrongs, etc. and to go even further beyond that to reach a point of 'sunyata' which means nothing-ness/emptiness.It is similar to Krishnamurti's concept where the observer is the observed and the experiencer is the experienced, thereby transcending duality, separations or any forms of thoughts/judgements, while becoming one with the environment, the people, the objects, etc. Obviously, I am only learning this theoretically and still digesting, but have yet to experience that state myself, so I might not be the best person to explain it.Also, here's an excerpt from Michael's Teaching on Soul Age that might give some comfort to those souls who have chosen a solitary journey in this life:"Q: I would like to know about the manifestation at age 35 — the breakthrough that occurs then.WHAT WE HAVE SAID IS THAT THE ROLE IN ESSENCE MANIFESTS AT APPROXIMATELY THIS AGE. YES, SOME BREAK THROUGH MUCH EARLIER, PARTICULARLY IF THEY GO THEIR OWN WAY EARLY IN LIFE. LONERS BREAK THROUGH FAR MORE EASILY THAN THOSE ATTACHED TO LARGE “CLOSE” FAMILIES: THESE TAKE MUCH LONGER. IF YOU DO NOT MANIFEST AT THIS STAGE IT IS UNLIKELY THAT YOU WILL LATER. HOWEVER, WE KNOW OF A FEW SOULS WHO HAVE NOT. HAVING YOUR ROLE MANIFEST AND SEARCHING FOR ENLIGHTENMENT ARE QUITE DIFFERENT. BABY WARRIORS DO NOT SEARCH BUT THEY DO MANIFEST. THERE IS NO MAGIC AGE FOR BEGINNING TO SEARCH — WE ARE NOW WORKING WITH AN OCTOGENARIAN WHO HAS JUST BEGUN." Quite frankly, long term isolation is painful for most, and some vulnerable ones may instead end up in self destruction. As they say, it is a thin line between creativity and destruction, wisdom and madness, life and death. Bless those souls who have to go it all alone this time round! Perhaps at some point of time, we would find that we are not really alone after all for we are one.Gabby quote:Originally posted by seekinglight:I have karma loosely conjunct NN in Aries (4 degree) in 12th house. It is my destiny to be a good person, I think. LeorpioCurious, would Atlantis in the 12th refer to karma gained from there?PisceanDreamThe moment I read your post, I immediately went to check whether I have Karma in the 12th because it resonated so much with me. And I do. I have always felt "alone". Isolated, secluded. Not in a physical sense (although I desire this often) but emotionally and mentally alone. The closest people in my life are thousands of miles away. I haven't been in a deep endearing and heartfelt relationship probably ever. I always wish I had a companion who truly understood me and I don't. I don't even know what my karmic debt is. It is also conjunct my ASC from the 12th house but I'm not sure what exactly that would mean. Being isolated and alone has always been my greatest pain and pleasure. I both desire it and loathe it. I am fiercely protective of my privacy and I would much rather be alone that be out there although it aches me to feel this way. It's very complex, trying to describe how I feel. But it's not only how I feel but also how my life is as it unfolds before me. I am absolutely alone as of right now. I have no friends around me or a lover I can lean on. In fact, I haven't gone out in a month... It's really sad and painful. I don't know when this will end.

Saturn in 12th semisextile Karma in 2H Leo conj Sun.
It seems like a very American thing to consider being alone as if some sort of a punishment, or that being alone was always necessarily automatically bad. I know many people profess to feelings of loneliness and that some suffer from loneliness, but I'm not sure I ever particularly had any such feelings, despite moving alone many times. Alone is where you can relax without having other people making unnecessary demands.

Exactly.
I learned this from the heart sutra in Buddhism, where it translates to: 'go, go, go beyond, go thoroughly beyond, and establish yourself in enlightenment.' It is about giving up of everything, including the ego, old concepts of religion or spirituality or any other ideologies, belief of rights and wrongs, etc. and to go even further beyond that to reach a point of 'sunyata' which means nothing-ness/emptiness.
It is similar to Krishnamurti's concept where the observer is the observed and the experiencer is the experienced, thereby transcending duality, separations or any forms of thoughts/judgements, while becoming one with the environment, the people, the objects, etc.
Obviously, I am only learning this theoretically and still digesting, but have yet to experience that state myself, so I might not be the best person to explain it.
Also, here's an excerpt from Michael's Teaching on Soul Age that might give some comfort to those souls who have chosen a solitary journey in this life:
"Q: I would like to know about the manifestation at age 35 — the breakthrough that occurs then.
WHAT WE HAVE SAID IS THAT THE ROLE IN ESSENCE MANIFESTS AT APPROXIMATELY THIS AGE.
Perhaps at some point of time, we would find that we are not really alone after all for we are one.

What's very odd here is my Karma libra@5.49, in my 12th is opposed yours. My scorp NN@21.44 is also direct, taurus SN falls in my 8th.My BM Lilith is on your Karma.....

Sorry I wasn't clear there. Just clarifying, I meant my karma and NN are 4 degrees apart, with karma @16.11 and transit Uranus is currently blazing over at @15. That's when the bottle popped and all crap broke loose. It would be interesting to see what would happen in the next few years when Pluto is squaring karma, while Uranus will be on my NN.
12th house moon is harsh, almost shattering to the fragile moon - I had it this year in my SR chart with a stellium of NN, saturn, moon, venus in 12th. But then my natal chart has 8th moon which isn't a bed of roses either.
Also like you, I moved away when I was 8. Family presence was sporadic throughout the first 14 years of my life after which I was on my own.
Interesting thing is that my chart ruler, Mercury, falls in 12th house Leo. Mercury, Jupiter, Karma and Destinn are all conjunct each other.Mercury 20¡ã46'19"Jupiter 23¡ã25'59"Karma 21¡ã33'15 "Destinn 21¡ã55'56 "
I am lack of confidence; so many people said I should be more confident. Generally speaking, I don¡¯t have problem in making friends. I have quite a few good friends. When I was small, I was really very shy and introvert. But in the past a few years, I changed, I was told I looked cheerful and extrovert. I always try to behave well. I feel if I don¡¯t, I will be punished somehow sooner or later. It is my destiny to be a good person, I think.
