T O P I C R E V I E WnorthernladI've come across conflicting ideas regarding the chart ruler. Some say it's whatever planet rules your rising sign, but some say that if a planet is rising in your chart that it should be that planet. And I'm pretty sure I've also heard that regardless of what's rising, it should be the planet in the strongest position in your chart. I can think of 4 planets that might be my chart ruler based on all of that CoffeeAscendant ruler. If you are Sag, Jupiter is your chart ruler.Ami AnneWhat does it feel like to have Uranus on your cusp ------------------ Life is lived in the sand box. The traditionalists will hate me for saying that, they'd like you to pick their way, which is like saying that you have to sign up for religion but you can only pick one. The modernists use what works for them from an array of methods and they use it 99% of the time. Everyone has their own way to read a chart.nordicsoulMorin says that if the planet ruling your AC is in domicile or exaltation, it is pretty straigforward. having jupiter in sagitarios or cancer and rising sing sagitarios, there you go.otherwise, you go to the ruler of the ruler of your AC, sagitarios rising, jupiter in gemini, mercury would be, specially if in domicile. if not.I have seen that some traditionalist makes the chart ruler the root. the one that is in its onw domicile. if you have more than one, you may have various chart rulers. In my own experience, I have taurus AC, venus in cancer and moon in gemini and mercury in gemini. I can see more mercury as my chart ruler than venus. even if venus is conjunct sun and mars.MertSerimer-First of all look for retrogades,Stationaries in your natal chart. Stationaries are really strong and effective.-Mutual Reception-> if A planet is in B's sign and B is in A's sign, and especially if they have an aspecct they act as a conjunction which is really cool and strong.-Singletons. Look at your chart for them. Sometimes only one planet can identify you easily.-For example if you are a sagittarus guy with a pieces ascendant, your chart's ruler definitely becomes Jupiter. Sun's sign's ruler is strong as ascendant ruler also. -The planets in own sign + own house. Pluto in Scorpio in 8th house or Saturn in capricorn in 10th or 11th house. They become really really strong.... especially if aspected by sun or ascendant line.Being strong may not mean a "ruler" but they can be more effective than chart'S ruler.MertSerimer-First of all look for retrogades,Stationaries in your natal chart. Or do I go to tradtl ruler of Pisces, which is my Jupiter? Thank you.Ok now I don't have anything domicile.I have Saturn exalted for sure, Mercury is in Aquarius, so it's exalted by modern thinking, but not traditionally.Everything in my chart if following the dispositors boils down the the mutual reception of Venus in Capricorn and Saturn in Libra.Should I just list my placements nordic, or is this enough to fig out Morin in my chart?
