T O P I C R E V I E Westella8roseHi, I've never posted here before, but I've already learned a lot just by reading others posts here. If anyone reads this and can help I would be extremely appreciative. I started reading all about sun signs a few years ago and fast fwd to today I am repeatedly hitting the same wall in interpreting my chart. I don't understand my aspects in my chart, I don't see a direction in my chart at all and I am finding this very discouraging. At the least can someone explain to me how I can find a ruling planet in my chart? And what all of my empty houses are implying? Or should I not even look at them? I don't want to stop learning all because my head is starting to hurt. I feel that my saturn mars and pluto all in the 2nd house in LIbra may be limiting me in my life. But I could be very wrong as I really am just not sure. my info: 3/27/82 3:49 pm manhasset, ny,usaSalisain what way do you think your second house stellium is limiting you?estella8roseHi Salisa - Thank you for even reading the first post. Well, to be honest, because from all of the books that ive been reading and the sites I have been on have been saying that when you have a bunch of planets in one sign that it means that sign is strenthened but then when I interpret it myself, or on these sites, I dont get anything from it. Are my planets being wasted? I know that sounds dumb, and I don't even believe that thats the case. I am a semi-beginner at this, so I dont know if anything I can say is actually valuable and how much of what I am interpreting is actually valid. I think something about saturn(which ive been identifying with karma from past lives) being both surrounded by other planets and being in the 'beginnings' of my chart may not say much for my karma being good or maybe my own growth? Or maybe it does. On a more positive note, my pluto location in my chart makes many venus trine plutos in synastry with my sister and two men I always felt I had known before. I think I just dont know what to look at...Does any of what I said help? Thank you lalalindaWelcome Estella8rosewilsontcestella,You asked: quote:...when you have a bunch of planets in one sign that it means that sign is strenthened but then when I interpret it myself, or on these sites, I dont get anything from it Are my planets being wasted?...I think something about saturn(which ive been identifying with karma from past lives) being both surrounded by other planets and being in the 'beginnings' of my chart may not say much for my karma being good or maybe my own growth? Or maybe it does.Let's first take a look at your first issues: "when you have a bunch of planets in one sign that it means that sign is strenthened". You have a "bunch of planets" in the sign of Libra (relationships). Libra is energy which is always "balancing out" things, always trying to look at the issues from all points of view and is VERY concerned that, whatever the solution is, that it is "fair" to everyone involved. So, in your posting I see you looking at your questions from all sides (i.e., "may not say much for my karma...? Or maybe it does"), acknowledging your possible confusion, and asking others what they think. To me, this sounds VERY Libra like. You also have a collection of energy in a "physical" house. This would indicate that you have a very practical, "down to earth" approach to your life. Things have to have personal value and meaning for you in order for you to value them. Your expression "I dont get anything from it Are my planets being wasted?" seems to imply that there is something to "get", some value that is physical, touchable that you don't yet have in your possession and that you are somehow "wasting" that physical resource. This all sounds VERY "physical" to me! As you mention, with most of your planets in the "beginnings" section of your chart we would expect you to use what you know about yourself to further explore your inner world. Which seems to be what your posting is all about! [continued in next post]------------------For information on basic astrological chart interpretation see: http://www.geocities.com/wilsontctc wilsontcYou have North node (future goals) focused in the 11th house (friends, also astrology, Internet), so we might think you would be drawn to explore astrology amongst "friends" (people who are "close but not TOO close") on the Internet. And you are! So far it seems as if you follow your chart very closely. The challenge seems to be, as you well put it: "when I interpret it myself, or on these sites, I dont get anything from it". There is some basic confusion of thought that is preventing you from clearly seeing what is in front of you.Whenever astrologers hear about a person being "confused" they begin hunting around the chart to see what Neptune, the planet of confusion is doing. And, sure enough, in your chart you have Neptune (spirituality, also confusion) square (energy needs to be combined with) Pisces (spirituality, also confusion) modifying Mercury (thinking/daily work). This indicates there is daily confusion about thinking. The challenge of Neptune is that it "dissolves" whatever it touches (by aspect) or focuses on (by house). As a result, the things around Neptune blend together. With Neptune affecting the mind, there is a "dissolving" of the mind. While this opens you up to MANY new ideas, it also can create confusion. Perhaps it would be best if you work at "sensing" what a chart means. Getting the "big picture" of the energies of the different signs, planets, and the focuses of the houses, and work at sensing how these things work in your life. What would you expect from someone with a focus on "physical" things? What does it mean to have a lot of energy in "relating" to others? What does a future goal of "friends" mean? Astrology could very well be the "key" to your inner awareness since in your birth chart Uranus (friends, also astrology, Internet) conjuncts (energy is combined with) your Nadir (inner world). Keep at it! You are doing fine! Well, now I have a lot more reading to do. Lucky for me I have the time. It is quite different for me to read something I wrote and have it explained back to me. Its as if I don't understand exactly what I am saying until someone reiterates it for me. Oh, and I am extremely indecisive at this point in time. I don't think I was always this way but for the past 2 years lets say I have not been able to make many real decisions because my mind cannot stay married to an idea for very long. I'm glad we can see it now!------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darknessastro junkieFrom what I can see so far, and putting that Stellium aside for a minute, I'd say the most powerful influences in your Chart are your Sun in Aries in the 8th House, and your Venus in Aquarius in the 6th House. Your Neptune in Sagittarius in the 4th House is a strong influence too. So I look to see how these three players can connect to each other in the most compatible way. If you were to put 3 people in a room together, one Aries, one Aqua & one Sag, they would probably get along, or at least want to find a way to. One thing they all have in common is having a niche for FUN.As for the Houses, the 4th and 8th are both Water Houses. The 4th Rules home and family, and is a very sensitive House. The 8th Rules Transformation and is a very intense House. But the 6th House Rules Health and is where we do a lot of cleaning up, a lot of thought and detail goes into it, and that's where your Venus is.Putting it all together, you take a great deal of care in your relationships with others. Your Sun kind of puts you out there, and in the 8th House, gives you transformative powers as well as making you quite intense. What you attract to yourself subconsciously, and your style of love is in Aquarius, a very electrical and people-oriented energy, and in a very detail-oriented (and kind of nervous) 6th House. So you may attract those kind of people to you. It's important to give them the time of day, even if your Aries Sun may lack in patience. You must accept them, listen to them, have patience with them because they will reflect back to you parts of yourself you need to take time to learn about. And Neptune, the dreamiest Planet of all, is in Sag, a Sign also known for having big dreams. In the 4th House means that you do have big dreams for your home life in terms of security. You might want to think of that Libra Stellium in the 2nd House of stability as the vehicle which will provide the balance you'll need in order to sift through all the opportunities that come your way. You won't want to be too quick to turn away opportunities. Stick around and see what's really there. Don't let any insecurities, or the sense that you need results right away, cramp your style. That's just what I get, and I could be totally wrong, but feel free to let me know how what you think.------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darknessestella8roseYou are definitely helping. I never did really understand that much..my Moon in the 10th is the most elevated planet in my chart. so what can those other houses with no planets mean?

Hey, an astrologer had you paying attention to your Mars. And I'm recommending you focus on your Sun, Venus & Neptune. One person has you look one way at one time, and another person has you look in another direction. Who is right? I've no clue. But if it helps in any way to shift your focus, then go for it.
As for why you like to sort of do things out of the box, it reminds me of a recent thread where we were discussing the 9th House, and how it makes one much stronger when learning from firsthand experiences, rather than having "technical" knowledge in advance.
So now I want to look at your 9th House to see if I find any possible clues. OK .... your Moon & Chiron (closely Aspected) are in your 9th House.
So this means you'll need some emotional distance from others in order to feel comfortable. It takes a while for you to let others in, and you are not afraid of having philosophical-type conversations with people who are sort of, out of the "norm".
Here is where your Transformative and Aquarius influences come into play perfectly. So you are more comfortable playing your own tune.
Sometimes ADD stuff and the like, is a result of not having something important to you acknowledged by someone who will play an important role.
Ignore attempts anyone makes to stifle you in this regard.
