koiflower | The Russians are onto it.......... http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/mp/6633307/secret-plan-to-save-earth-from-asteroid/ |
Predominantlyfire | But what if it's heading for Pakistan? I say just leave it to chance. ------------------ neutralcruiser@hotmail.co.uk |
Spanky Butler | Is there any point in running koi? I mean seriously? I was just thinking to myself about this yesterday & I can't help but make a comparison to all the movies hollywood has made about this very thing.
By seeding the masses via the movies are we manifesting this upon ourselves? |
WinkAway | They say the chances of impact are something like 1 in 37... I think the Russians just wanna play with it lol. Spanky... interesting. Negative energy attracts negative energy, right? |
Spanky Butler | Yeah exactly Wink. I had the same brain flash while watching my son play Wii. My mind associated it with the movie Total Recall where Sharon Stone is playing virtual tennis, lol. I could be reaching here.... |
DD | LOL Koi, I heard about that a year or so ago, and thought it was such an irony, that of all asteroids, it should be Apophis, the destroyer. How fitting! |
DepTaurus | haha i wont have anything to worry about ill be dead in two years well allegedly or so people keep saying. lol so dont worry russians. |
koiflower | I think the chances are low. This is just the beginning of the new Cold War between super powers to show off what they can do with celestial objects. It's a bit like when NASA bombed the moon looking for water. They know there's water there, and that excuse was a cover for other missile experiments. Watch the news over the next decade. It will be developed countries subtley showing off new space technology. Yes, the name Apophis is funnily ironic!! |
listenstotrees | Hooray! |
Anti-Rufilla | it's a pretty cool way to go |
belgz | lol. Id rather that than the 2012 conspiracy! ------------------ •' •.♥♫♫´°°♫ • Life is Beautiful •.♥.•♫°°´♫♫ ♥ • |
katatonic | have to agree with you koi. i would love to figure out how to get some of that money spent here on earth on the little niggling problems we have here...much as space fascinates and frontiers are always beckoning it does seem a little crude of "them" to spend so much on a) killing games and b) pioneer games... wonder what the odds are that any one in power anywhere on earth would see sense in that?? |
Lara | Will it be a bit like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eim5jLlEPYI |
DD | I LOVE that song. And that video |
Lara | hehe, its funny and it kind of represents this thread topic! Happy New Year!!! x |
koiflower | There's nothing like a cocky know-it-all alien flaunting their over-zealous confidence on the stage of life!! quote: it does seem a little crude of "them" to spend so much on a) killing games and b) pioneer games...
Nothing has changed in the history of mankind. We came out of Africa and haven't stopped moving since. Not even the sky's the limit!! |
koiflower | In "The Next 100 Years", George Friedman discusses at length the plans for space strategy and dominance. The Russians will be using an asteroid as an excuse to field a strategic placement in the skies. However, Friedman says the Japan and the USA will be the leaders - using equipment to spy on each other!!! |
sunshine9 | *bump* for the Asteroid Forum.. |
