I am still trying to find some information on this, but it is difficult, because of the abundance of heliocentric astrology. As far as I understand, Helio represents areas of life where you "shine", though that is still admittedly vague. I have it in the 10H conjunct my sun, and am hoping someone can help interpret this. In the 10H, it's simple to show there is a career or public focus.
Helio conjunct Venus would mean an innate talent with art or music that others notice, eye-catching beauty, and/or forging comfortable relationships. Helio conjunct Saturn would imply an admirable sense of responsibility or work ethic, getting solid payoff for your efforts. The other planets are comparatively more simple to interpret. But when it comes to the sun, I'm a bit baffled.
Asteroids in conjunction:
Sag 08°52' - 598 Octavia [wife to Nero, empress of Rome]
Sag 09°03' - 1143 Odysseus [cunning, long journies, Greek king of Ithaca, invented the Trojan Horse]
Sag 09°29' - fixed star ANTARES [one of the four royal stars]
Sag 09°43' - 1991 Darwin [theory of natural selection/evolution]
Sag 09°56' - 895 Helio [Greek god of the sun]
Sag 10°10' - 18 Melpomene [Greek muse of tragedy]
Sag 10°15' - 5264 Telephus [telepathy]
Sag 10°18' - 79 Eurynome [ancient, fish-tailed Greek goddess worshipped in Arcadia]
Sag 10°25' - 1437 Diomedes [modest and valiant Greek king of Argos, commander during the Trojan war]
Sag 10°42' - Sun
Sag 10°51' - 2696 Magion
Sag 11°00' - personal name asteroid
Sag 11°00' - 911 Agamemnon [Greek king of Mycenae, commander during Trojan war]
Would this merely be an amplification of my core personality? Or is it more like a general recognition for just being myself? I suppose my problem lies in that Helio seems like a micro-version of the Sun. How would they be differentiated?
EDIT: And let's just ignore the fact I coincidentally have a kitty named Helio, the lil' Gemini doofus.
