T O P I C R E V I E WastriSo apart from the famous asteroids like Eros, Psyche, Cupid and perhaps lesser known Byblis which are associated with 'forbidden love', I found a new one; the asteroid YOSAKOI (10547) which is a popular Japanese folk song. The song tells of a forbidden love between a monk and a girl. The ill-fated love story between Junshin—a young priest of Chikurin-ji Temple on Mt. Godai—and a tinker's daughter named Ouma gained notoriety about a century and a half ago. Because he was a monk, their relation was kept secret for a long time, but in the end it raised the suspicion of the other monks. When they caught Junshin buying a hairpin for women from a shop close to Harimaya-bashi, he was banished from the temple and was sent to live far away, and the two were never allowed to meet again…The tale of these two lovers lives on in Kochi as the story is recounted every year in the lyrics for the city's Yosakoi Festival song. The site of the bridge gained even more attention through the 2009 movie "Harimaya Bridge."implosionsOh boy. I have this one conjunct my Chiron/South Node (right between them within 1 degree). I would say I have definitely had some 'forbidden' love for unavailable people. Never acted on it, but oh the tragedy of it all.StelliaOh help. I have this conjunct my Venus, sun-moon midpoint, amalthea (113), and Eros.I have a forbidden love situation with someone who has their North Node bang on that point.Their Yosakoi is exactly conjunct their vertex. I'm gonna need to know more about this folk tale! 😬Somna7HYOSAKOI (10547) 19° in Pisces Conjunct 11th House Cusp. Only Trine Mercury. Nothing to worry.
