Yang | Hi guys Last night I had a dream but I don't remember it much. All I can remember of it, was that bananas appeared in it. I think I was inspecting them, as I was in the shop, or something similar to that! Anyone know what bananas represent in dreams? |
Peri | I think babanas as in 'top banana' may be indicative of someone's authority which you are questioning = examining. Does it make any sense? |
Yang | Sorry Peri, but that doesn't seem to make sense! Having been questioning anyone's authority lately! |
Peri | hmm a phallic implication maybe? quote: To see bananas in your dream, may be a metaphor for repressed sexual urges and desires. It is a phallic symbol and represents masculine sexuality.

sue g | The first thing I thought was phallic symbol? |
Yang | Huh! you guys are rude! Seriously, I don't think it has anything to do with sex! I think it leans towards finances, but I don't seem to find a connection! Perhaps I am looking at it in a wrong direction? |
sue g | Maybe you gonna work in a fruit shop? |
Ra | Hello Yang Besides what has already been given, I do not know what to tell you. There is not much information to go on. Perhaps this banana, as a fruit, symbolizes something (maybe financial issue) which is "ripe" or ready for you to "consume"/incorporate. Are you "examining" some financial situation/opportunity in waking life? |
Yang | I am saving money for my holiday later on at the end of the year ( Going to Ireland) and also saving money for when I go back home next year February. Perhaps it is my last chance to start saving serious money? |
Ra | I suppose that could be. Does that feel right to you? For some reason, that just does not feel right to me, but then I do not know what else was in the dream, and of course we all have our own unique symbology. If you say that is it, then that is it. If, however, you are not sure, then there is probably something else to it. |
Peri | quote: Bananas All types of food bring up issues of nourishment. In the world of classic or superstition-based dream interpretations, eating bananas suggests a period of hard work but little reward. Spoiled fruit usually suggests "spoiled" situations or friendships.
|
Yang | I think Peri hit it on the nail! I have been working hard and overtime these past few weeks but I don't get any rewards or recognition for it! I am getting tired of it as it makes me feel useless! Thanks Peri!

Ra | Bingo. Thanks Peri! I would never have thought that. |
