T O P I C R E V I E WEllygirl7Last night, I dreamed of an owl for the first time. The owl was slamming into my children's bedroom window trying to get in. I ran down the hall to tell my husband about the owl. When I ran back to the kids' room, he didn't follow me. I noticed the screen had been broken off of their window and thought the owl had come in, so I grabbed my 3 year old daughter and ran into the living room with her. My 2 year old son ran behind me. In the living room, I put my daughter down to pick up my son. When I bent down to pick up my son, the owl flew into the living room and landed on my back. It pecked me once before I woke up. The entire thing takes place at night and for some reason, there's no light in my house except for the glow of the living room tv. I know that this dream means something, but I am having trouble interpreting the dream alone. I know the owl has a meaning, but I cannot understand what it is.------------------ELLYGIRL7love being Ariesowl in dreams either means wisdom and insight. if you are trying to run away from owl means you are running away from facing some problem or something that needs to be done, which is better be done. owl is not a negative sign for dreams.Ellygirl7Thank You, Love Being Aries. By the way, I love being an Aries too!Randall*bump*------------------I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.RaI am so sorry I didn't see this before. My apologies Ellygirl7. You even asked for me by name.I agree with 'love being Aries' ... owls often symbolize wisdom or insight. They can also symbolize the unconscious, or the darker aspects of spirituality. In this dream, Owl is most definitely trying to get your attention, and it seems that there is some difference between what your husband feels needs to be done with your children, and what you feel (husband does not follow you). Back in July/August, something was going on with your children that needed your attention, but you and your husband could not agree on what to do, if anything. The Owl was telling you that you needed to follow through with what you intuitively felt should be done, regardless of how your husband felt. Of course, communication with your husband about how you felt or thought is very important, but you must also be willing to make a stand for what you feel to be true and important. I don't know what has transpired since then, but it is not too late to take action. What was/is going on? Does the dream make any more sense? Are you still able to take action? RandallAlways great when you drop by, Ra. ------------------"Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca ClarkRaThanks Randall. I am going to try and get here more often ... I am a moderator, after all. Thank you for your patience with me. Ellygirl7Turns out that my Husband and I didn't agree on our children and still don't. Thanks for the advice though. Thinking back to the time, we were disagreeing in how to care for our kids...and still are. No wonder our relationship is coming to an end.Randall ------------------"Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you."
