I wanted to post about this dream because I feel having it in such intense detail on the last day of Mercury Retrograde must mean something. I have a long history of prophetic dreams, but because the dream includes myself and loved ones, I am interested in getting an outside perspective on the meaning of this.Warning-super long, but my memory captured a lot
Background context:
My cousin and his wife are having a rocky time in their marriage, and none of this is surprising. They got married in such a short amount of time without really having a good reason to tie the knot. He has become withdrawn and miserable, and talks to me almost daily about how unhappy he is and wants out. He won't leave because he does not want to hurt his wife by saying he is no longer in love with her, but also fears her wrath because she has serious anger and hostility issues. They fight almost every day, and it is hard to see my cousin continually prolong any decisions by not dealing with the reality. They are in the dream, which depicts an end of their relationship. My friend and are the other characters, and to be clear my friend has no history with my cousin (this will make sense later).
My friend and I fly to see my cousin and approach his home. We knock on on the door, and he opens it with great happiness and surprise to see us. The house is full of lamps and plants, with some of the planets wilted and others perfectly healthy. It also seemed quite messy, where clothes are thrown around, dishes in the sink, and objects thrown over the living room. What immediately strikes me is his wife is sitting in a cold, uncomfortable chair as if she was lifeless and powerless, as if she had no emotion to give.
The three of us sit down at a table and start to catch up on life and discuss random things. We are all dressed very casually in sweatpants and t-shirts, making the conversation seem informal. My cousin and I did most of the talking, but he stared at my friend several times in a loving and romantic manner. I did not acknowledge his wife and continued to talk without reservation. My friend feared showing my cousin any sort of affection in return due to his wife being right there.
My friend eventually gets up and approaches her. She is sitting on a chair that has no arms, made of metal, and just gives you a very uncomfortable vibe. The wife has been silent the entire time, without any hint of being engaged in what everyone was talking about. She had no makeup on, disheveled hair, and looked unkempt. She looked my friend in the eyes and said "I'm flying to my parents," and my friend responded by asking "Oh nice, are you going for the weekend?" His wife responds with a matter of factly statement of "no, I am getting divorced." Her face was devoid of any sort of emotion.
My friend says "oh" in confusion and uncomfortableness, and walked away. The wife is suddenly gone from the dream. For some reason, my friend was really tired and decided to go to bed. My cousin and I during this time were cleaning up a mess in a different room. When my friend woke up, it was around 5 pm. She enters the room my cousin and I were still cleaning. There are two beds, and my cousin and I decided to take a nap with us sleeping on different sides of the bed. It was not a peaceful sleep, but rather one where you spend the entire night working on an exhausting task.
When I saw my friend, I was half asleep and decided to sleep on the other unused bed alone I wanted her to sleep next to my cousin for some reason. My friend decides to leave the room and gets upset that I shared the bed with my cousin. She enters the room she was talking a nap in. A few minutes later my cousin entered the room and decided to talk and cuddle with my friend. My friend told him she was unsure of whether she wanted him or not. As she became more awake, his appearance changed a bit.
Then....I woke up.
