T O P I C R E V I E WkonquarI am a gay male Scorpio who has secretly noticed that I share many more personality traits with the profiles of the Scorpio woman than the male born under the sign. I'm pretty much 100 masculine (everyone is always shocked when they find out I'm gay because everyone still has a preconceived notion of what a gay man should be like), but I read more of my emotional and mental priorities in the standard female character studies. Is this the norm or just me? Does anyone know anything about homosexuality's role in astrology?26taurusHi konquar,Nice to meet you. I know I have books that mention aspects between planets that are frequent in homosexuals or people with homosexual tendencies. I can't find them right now - I'll have to do alot of digging. But for now check out these links:The Icarus Effect (The Variety of Sexual Lifestyles in the Horoscope) by Christopher A. Weidner http://cura.free.fr/decem/08weidn.html also:Venus wants to be cherished and adored, and, in a man's chart, indicates how he may come to terms with the feminine side of his nature. Venus-Mars contacts in a natal chart are important in judging the individual's attitudes towards romance, love and sex. Venus-Uranus contacts are traditionally thought to be indicators of homosexual tendencies, although much more research is needed here, and it depends upon the sign influences as to whether this is open, happy homosexuality or repressed longings. Venus is never more than about 48 degrees from the Sun.Venus rules both Taurus and Libra, and its natural house is the 7th house.Venus keywords include relatedness, grace, greed, self-indulgence, harmony, beauty and peace. http://82.112.112.13/venus.htm "The conditions of one's life are imprinted at birth and one of the most important of these conditions is the nature of one's sexuality. Thus a chart of a homosexual shows distinct homosexual tendencies in terms of zodiacal placements, and homosexuality would be as natural to that individual as heterosexuality or asexuality or bisexuality would be to another."-- Alan Oken, Astrology: Evolution and Revolution (1976), http://astroqueer.tripod.com/charts/alanoken.html Hope this helps......I'll be back with more soon. 2626taurusAlso you are a Scorpio - the most sexual sign. I know a few gay Scorpions. One of my best girlfriends is a lesbian - a Scorpio - with strong Scorp in her chart. My aunt - a Libra with many Scorpio planets is also a lesbian. What signs are your Venus and Mars.....and Uranus in??RandallWelcome! ------------------"Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clarklalalindawelcome konquar hard aspects to Venus from Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and Saturn show homosexuality/bisexualityone hard aspect won't do it and sometimes the Moon is involved also (especially with Uranus)If you relate more to your feminine side you probably have a majority of your planets in feminine signs or houses (2,4,6,8,10 and 12)On a personal note I have noticed a lot of Aries men who are gay the rule is usually Libra and thier delicate balance. What is your rising sign?Archeri'm not sure where but somehwre on the internet i read that most number of homosexuals belong to cancer and sagittarius.------------------NeeravArcher http://www.mygayweb.com/horoscope/profile/?M=9 astro junkieThat's a really cool Web site Archer... thanks...------------------it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness...Teo TorriatteI know a fairly significant number of Geminis with bisexual tendencies and there have been some famous homosexual Gemini people, Boy George for one. YangWelcome LibraSparklePersonally, I've never heard any theories about homosexuality in astrology. I'm interested in hearing them myself.Personally, I think we're going to discover the homosexual gene in our DNA in the years to come.Scorp the most sexual? I thought it was Leo? I have several female friends that are Leos, and I'll tell you... they're all Nymphos. I also know one male Leo (Not you JW ), and he's a regular fiend too!pixelpixieI'm a Scorpio with Leo rising. My hubby does not complain.(But then, you might have guessed that about me.... Big surprise)astro junkieYeah - I think Scorpio RULES sex, meaning, they control if it happens as well as if it doesn't. They can transcend it and turn the energy into something spiritual. See things not so obvious. As for homosexuality being strictly a "gene" theory - I don't buy it and never have. There are thousands of people who "are not homosexual" who have sex with the same sex.------------------it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness...sthenriI do not know any biseuxal Geminis, they tend to be in my experience, either very straight, or very much lesbian or gay. They like limits so when they are in love they tend to form love relationships with someone who has strong opinions.Bisexuality is very different than being out, I think. Being bisexual is more about accepting that part of yourself, or exploring, being a lesbian woman or gay man is understandably about being in a relationship or looking for one.Scorpios tend to be really into a committed parternship where sex is important. Sex has to be good too, and Scorpios will keep looking until they find someone who matches, regardless of sex. Many Scorpio women will have long term relationships with women that are very intimate, but not sexual, if they cannot find this in a man.Geminis are more or less looking always, it's an endless quest, and the sex is not as important as the expression. Geminis want to explore mental concepts. Scorpios like the idea of one sexual relationship that can be explored forever. That's my experience,NatashaTaurusCancer Moon/8th housenove731I've never understood the hard aspects to Venus indicating homo/bisexuality thing. Except for a square to my moon, and a semi-square to my Sun, my Venus makes positive aspects. (Trine Pluto, Chiron, and Jupiter, Sextile Neptune, Uranus, and Mercury) If it were the moon being the deciding factor, then maybe I'd understand that. My moon only makes two aspects, both of them being negative (Square Venus, Inconjunct Jupiter[even though there's a mutual reception]), I guess would make a tad more sense. But then again, someone said something about having the majority of planets in feminine signs or houses. I have 7 planets plus Chiron, and my Ascendant in feminine signs, and 7 planets, plus Chiron in feminine houses. Also, only 1/3 (4/12) of my houses are in masculine signs.Sorry to bring back so many old threads. :-P I just have time on my hands, so I've been going through the old threads to see if I could find any more answers to my first post. For example, if you are a male homosexual, significators of partners would be masculine (not feminine!) ones...
