T O P I C R E V I E WsoulsistaHi everyoneAny thoughts on past lives? Whats aspects show in a solar chart or synastry chart showing past life connections?Id love to hear if anyone knows absoluteley anything about this intriguing subject.ThanksxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxHeart--Shaped CrossI've heard that the 8th house may indicate past lives, and the South Node is supposedly located in the house and sign which you have already worked. The North Node, opposite the South, will indicate the direction you are going, or ought to go.astro junkieYeah, Off the top of my head, South Node, Sun same sign as Asc. I think some Pluto aspects may turn out positive, while some Saturn aspects may turn out negative. But all past life stuff just the same.Aquarian GirlIs your north node your "true node"?What if you have nothing in your 8th house, does that mean you have had no past lives?*scratches head*LibraSparkle http://grupovenus.com/infoi.asp has lots of different types of charts. Cayce past life , Karmic past life , Karmic insight... to name a few.mermaidmaenadi must concur..south node it is, then saturn....in synastry, a partner with a south node on your venusis supposedly a love from a former life. i can tell you this, i broke up with someone and we had, synastrically his south node exactly conjunct my venus, and his venus conjunct my pluto. if he misses me even half as much as i miss him, i'd say we've been here, together, before..........and it was INSTANT INSTANT INSTANT attraction on both our parts. strange...then i did the chart of his ex..OHMIGAWD THE SAME CONFIGURATIONS!!!!!how strange is that??? the saturn bonds were tight there too...YOWSA!!Alarikhmastro junkieThanks for that link Libra SparkleAriesrocks!ditto what Gloria saidLibraSparkle you're welcome KatI've also heard having some retrograde planet may be past life stuff. (?)Planets in the 12th house may indicate past life stuff that needs to be worked on. Some grand trines may be a reward for good deeds in a past life or a break because of a difficult past incarnation. I would assume lots of squares may be for similar reasons. This may or may not be so.leoelfGreat Site!AzalakshLinda Goodman said that ANY Saturn contacts in synastry indicate past life interactions, perhaps intimate, perhaps only ships-in-the-night, to wit:"A Saturn contact with any planet indicates that the two persons have shared one or more close relationships in former lives, Saturn being the planet of Karma. Should your intercharts reveal more than one Saturn aspect, the former reincarnational experiences have been plural and profound, especially if they're accompanied by aspects involving Neptune, or a Pluto/Venus contact."The following statements are from her book "Relationship Signs".....her interps for:Venus conjunct/sextile/trine Pluto:"evidence of a deep karmic bond from numerous past associations. There's an indisputable karmic tie between you, and it's a powerful one, to be sure. Perhaps you don't "believe in" reincarnation, the cause of such things as karmic ties. It doesn't matter. Not believing in it doesn't cancel its reality or keep it from working."Sun conjunct Saturn: "karmic lessons to be taught"Venus sextile or trine Saturn:"As with all aspects involving the planet Saturn (and the planets Neptune and Pluto), this one is an echoed chord of your mutual karma from the long ago and far away, a cosmic protection against the harshest vibrations of all other aspects between you, considerably softening them."Sun conjunct Neptune:"Whatever other difficulties may arise between you periodically, for whatever planetary reason, your relationship is based on an endless supply of mutual compassion, born of many mountains climbed together in the sharing of living, loving and forgiving in countless former incarnations. The spiritual tie between you is profound and unbreakable."Sun conjunct Pluto:"Your association is deeply karmic, and this is not the first time you have met, by any means. You've traveled many worlds and eons together in a myriad of relationships. You may or may not sense this."Sun sextile or trine Pluto:"An extremely favorable reward for your good behavior in past lives together is given to both of you by this excellent score on your karmic report card."She writes: "the person whose Saturn aspects the other person's planet is the one in charge of teaching the karmic lessons"....'Zalamoonstar77"Linda Goodman said that ANY Saturn contacts in synastry indicate past life interactions, perhaps intimate, perhaps only ships-in-the-night"Wouldn't you always see Saturn contacts somewhere in synastry though? I know some couples that have only 1 or 2 Saturn aspects, but I just can't imagine a synastry chart that lacks NONE, which is what this seems to imply...cat loverHi can anyone tell me what the south/north nodes and saturn conjunctions mean between me and a friend. Thx!My d.o.b: cat - 22 feb 1976born 7.55 am Nottingham ukhis: D - 21 july 1980 born birmingham UkMy venus and mercury is conjunct D's south node. D's moon is conjunct my north node. My saturn is conjunct D's sun and mercury. And talking of saturn.. D's saturn is opposite my sun and Ascendant. What do all these aspects mean? Did i know D in a past life? Were we in a relationship b4? and in this life time is my connection with him more karmic? If so is it a good or bad thing?Who has lessons to learn from who?Do we have any unfinished business together?!Thx I'd appreciate any feedback!Cat xjenfullmoonWell, one of my exes (ironically, the one I got engaged to and was with the longest!) and I had no Saturn contacts at all. Probably because his Saturn was in Virgo and mine's in Leo. Kind of odd to see a singleton in the composite chart with that one. So I suppose it can happen more often than you think.I do think it's kind of odd about ANY Saturn contacts. I have tons of Saturn contacts in my natal, so anyone who's around my age with Saturn in Leo is someone I'd have Saturn contacts/past life interactions with because together we'd have the same aspects as I do alone. (His Saturn would set off my Venus because it's a few degrees off from my Saturn but close enough to still set it off.) So I have past life experiences with any guy within a year of my birth? Huh? That doesn't seem right.Cat lover: yeah, all of that sounds like it's pretty karmic/past life to me, especially the Saturn and South Node connections. Sounds VERY karmic! I don't know if it's a good or bad thing, though...depends on how your relationship is going, I suspect. You're probably pretty well hypnotized by each other, though!I have been trying to find books on how to figure out what this stuff means with regards to past lives, but I am pretty stumped so far. Glaucususes of the planetary nodes have been inspired and influenced by the brilliant pioneering work of eminent astrologer, Jeffrey Wolf Green. Strong aspects, especially tight conjunctions, oppositions, and squares, of one partner's planets and/or angles to the Descending Nodes of the other's personal planets (Mercury, Venus, and Mars) are significant indicators of soul mate connection and likely involvement in previous lifetimes. The actual pre-incarnate contact between the two parties strengthens the experience of soulfulness in the relationship exactly because the source of that contact lies outside one's current bodily perimeters. This works in much the same way that meeting an old and close high school friend after an absence of some twenty or thirty years evokes not only the feelings and memories associated with those years together but also an enhanced sense of life's meaning in general through comparison of where we were then and where we are now. These contacts put us in touch with a deeper dimension of life than we could experience within either of those points in time by themselves. http://www.synastry.us/soulmate_indicators.asp My Mars Node oppose my girlfriend's Venus with 29 minutes of archer Venus Node conjuncts my Mars with 20 minutes of arc.Her Saturn conjuncts my Sun with 2'35 orb and trines my Moon with 26 minutes of arc.I read that 12th house in synastry have to do with karmic pastlife connection.my Moon is in her 12th house trine her Moon-Saturn conjunction in 7th and sextile her Neptune in 10th. My Mars is in her 12th sextile her Mars in 1st.I feel that the strongest soulpartner connection that we have is is her Pisces Ascendant oppose my Virgo Ascendant with 16 minutes of arc which is the same as Ascendant conjunct Descendant both ways. So that the marriage house of each other coincides with each other's Ascendant, that in a certain respect our personalities are merged that of the other, the thou, alter ego.So selves merge with what our partners should be like. the Ascendant-Ascendant opposition is backed up by a 6 minute Ascendant-Ascendant contrparallel which considerably strengthens that already highly strong opposition. Her ascendant also square my Midheaven with 2'29 orb. That's complementation of physical and spiritual dispositions.sunshine9jenfullmoon & moonstar77,Actually, I'd say it's not too surprising if you have all those Saturn contacts with others born in your generation, indicating past karma. I've had the same question before, and realized some things after giving it some thought.. They say that groups of souls tend to incarnate together. So, if you shared a past life or more with that group of souls you're associated with, it's very likely that you've all taken birth together in this life (around the same time, in the same place), to play out that karma. You might not associate with every single person you have karma with, but just the ones that your higher Self has chosen to interact with during this lifetime. So, those synastric Saturn ties might not even come to fruition if you are not closely tied to all those souls. Does that make sense?SunshineLoveI am in my second karmic relationship of this year. Besides simply intuitively knowing that it's karmic, some of the astrological placements we have are:My True (North) Node conjuncting his Ascendant, Sun, Venus and asteroid Isis. My South Node obviously also conjuncts his Descendant. We also have True Node opposite True Node. His True Node conjuncts my Moon, Jupiter and asteroid Amor.So basically, my Moon in Taurus which is opposite his Sun in Scorpio is also home to his True Node in Taurus. His Sun in Scorpio is also home to my True Node. My Saturn conjuncts his Jupiter, and asteroids Juno and Karma. My Pluto and Karma conjunct his Vesta and Amor (in Libra no less). Also, his Saturn conjuncts my asteroid Valentine.Such an odd relationship thus far...so comforting and yet it makes me feel so emotional at the same time. Incredibly powerful, I must say.lovegoblini like this topic. could someone tell me how to calculate my south node. i know it is directly across north node-but is it by the same degree (like vertex-anti vertex)also-how would i calculate nodes of venus, mars, it they are different from north nodes.thanks anyone.izodesmozinaMERCURY 17.59 Taurus (North Nodes) and 17.59 Scorpio (South Nodes)MARS 19.24 Taurus (North Nodes) and 19.24 Scorpio (South Nodes)URANUS 14.01 Gemini (North Nodes) and 14.01 Sagittarius (South Nodes)VENUS 16.30 Gemini (North Nodes) and 16.30 Sagittarius (South Nodes)JUPITER 10.14 Cancer (North Nodes) and 10.15 Capricorn (South Nodes)PLUTO 19.54 Cancer (North Nodes) and 19.54 Capricorn (South Nodes)SATURN 23.30 Cancer (North Nodes) and 23.30 Capricorn (South Nodes)NEPTUNE 11.33 Leo (North Nodes) and ll.33 Aquarius (South Nodes)Plus ..CHIRON 29.09 Libra (North Nodes) and 29.09 Aries (South Nodes)That's for January 1st, 1980, but they move very slowly... so they're in the same position, meaning every aspect YOU have to your nodes, your parner's nodes will have with your planets...The Lunar South Node is perfectly oposed to the North Node. cristinamethe 12th houseretrograde planetsthe moonthe nodessaturn and jupiterlovegoblinthanks for posting that info IZO.izodesmozinaCan someone please give me some insights on stationary retro Neptune in the 12th house?
