T O P I C R E V I E WArnickaHi all, does anyone have this in their synastry with a romantic partner? Were you the Jupiter or Venus person? How did it operate in the relationship? I've only been the Jupiter person (@10deg scorp) and basically seemed to magnetize this Sun, Venus scorp (@around 7-12deg). He seemed to feel more attracted to me than I to him, tho I believed in him and cared for him very much.Anyone else notice a similar pattern?26taurusI know someone who's Jupiter conjuncts my Venus but we are not in a relationship, so I can't be of much help relating personal experience there. But here is what one of my Synastry books has to say (excuse any typos) :Venus/JupiterThis is a most felicitous contact and one frequently found between horoscopes of marriage partners, when each may vie in lavishing gifts on the other. Venus will attract Jupiter's goodwill, while Jupiter will bring out the affection that Venus seeks an opportunity to bestow. When Jupiter in the man's horoscope aspects Venus in the woman's, he will be able to bring out all her latent ability to play her most attractive feminine role. When Jupiter in the woman's horoscope is in aspect to the man's Venus, she may appear to him as a larger than life personification of his ideal mate. This combination encourages a high level of co-operation between the two partners based on the mutual esteem in which each holds the other. The contact promises a happy social relationship between friends and in the marriage relationship the support which each is willing to give to the other can do much to cancel out any disharmonies indicated by adverse cross-aspects between other planets. Jupiter will appreciate the artisic talents and social graces of Venus while if Venus sets a special value on an optimistic and philosophical outlook in her partner, Jupiter is assured of an affectionate ally. The sporting attitude of Jupiter and the fun-loving propernsities of Venus combine to give a shared interest in pleasurable and light-hearted leisure time activities. When the planets are in adverse aspect of either is debilitated quite a few of the above benefits may be present but there may be too much emphasis on extravagance or self-indulgence and if Jupiter is the stronger planet, Venus may be led into excesses, while if Venus is better placed she may attempt to become too possessive or resent her partne's success if it means he devotes less attention to her. In some cases, Venus may become too self-involved to appreciate Jupiter's many virtues. From Synastry ~ Ronald Davison26taurusArnika? ArnickaYes 26 I'm here Yes thanks for that information very much, very helpful as I dont own that text... Makes sense as well. I was thinking it might have a more sexual overtone in interpretation, but maybe thats cos it falls in sassygrrrlI have this aspect with my unrequited Mr. Aries...and its in Scorpio too. I am the Venus person and he is the Jupiter person. In our case there is a strong attraction...at least from my side. And when we are together, we are very relaxed and enjoy each other's company and have the most fun, if only just doing nothing but hanging out and walking down the street together. And whenever we would have a rare fight, we would usually quickly make up. But then, we also have the synastry of his Venus in Pisces trine my Jupiter in Cancer, so there is a double dose of watery Venus-Jupiter energy in our relationship. ArnickaHey, Sassy, thanks for your insight The synastry Im looking @ also has a double whammie with my Venus trine his Jup. I'm starting to really love the feel of it! Jupiter may be a lil underestimated in this chapter of astrology sassygrrrlI agree Arnicka. I think that Venus with Jupiter is the most underrated & overlooked aspect in synastry. IMO it is one of the best synastry aspects of all.
