The Quindecile Aspect
Some four years ago, I resurrected the quindecile aspect from a passing reference to it in early writings of Thomas Ring, a brilliant German astrologer-theoretician early in this century. The aspect's drama and significance in life development are absolutely compelling. The passionate nature of the aspect led me to pronounce it, in all my lectures through many countries and in all my articles, in the Italian way: quin-deh-chee'-leh. The British 'quin-dehss-aisle' is simply too sterile for the power of this aspect. I'm delighted that the Italian way has caught on everywhere!

The Quindecile, or 165 degree aspect, termed as "the separation aspect" by German astrologer Thomas Ring (1892-1983) denotes disruption and upheaval which divorce the individual from the balance of their life. Noel Tyl re-discovered this aspect while researching the horoscope of Leonardo da Vinci and after extensive research confirmed it as a prominent indicator of obsession/compulsion as a response to upset and trauma in the life.
And:
Synastry - If planets are in quindecile aspect, within the synastry of two horoscopes, it indicates obsessive/compulsive inclinations within that relationship. When both persons have natal quindecile(s) and there are quindecile(s) through synastry of the two horoscopes, the relationship dynamics may be overwhelmingly obsessive/compulsive. This inclination will not be nearly as powerful if those involved do not have quindecile(s) within their own natal horoscopes. If person "A" has natal quindecile(s), and person "B" doesn't, the obsession/compulsion within the relationship may be one-sided, with "A" focusing on "B".
