T O P I C R E V I E WKay LibraHey awhile back I read somewhere that before experiencing your SR you will be in lots of karmic relationships. Is there some truth to that? And if so after you turn 30 you're what, opening up for new karmic relationships? cat71*Bump*Hey Kay Libra - I second ur question! B interesting to see what comes up for that. When I was experiencing my Saturn Return I left an on/off relationship that had been going on for 9 yrs, to make it harder I had known him and his family literally all my life, but it was so abusive I chose my return time to get out and move to the other side of the world wth my daughter! Talk about big changes - it was the hardest time of my life (so far) but also I think when I learnt the most about myself and am much happier and stronger for the experience. My brother has his Saturn return this yr and recently finished a similar on/off long term relationship which brought him much pain. Interestingly, he is a 4 and she was an 8, (Star Signs - numbers of fate and destiny). He also has a double whammy this yr, poor love, as he was born with his Sun in Virgo at 29 degrees which is exactly where the Solar eclipse is gonna fall this yr - smack bang on his birthday - so a big yr ahead for him! Yeah - so let's hear from those Saturn Return experts!!! ------------------...to have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever...jenfullmoonWhat I've been told: * Your relationships have the best odds of lasting if they take place after your SR is over.* Your relationship might survive if it's established before the SR starts.* Relationships started DURING the SR aren't that likely to work out because of all the drastic changes you are going through during this time. The ironic thing about this with me is that I have a LOT of astrological aspects that are predicting romance for me this fall, right around when my first exact SR period is supposed to start. Great timing for that If it happens, I think I will have to go in with an attitude of "this is TEMPORARY, enjoy it while you can" instead of hoping for Twue Wuv and marriage the way I always go into relationships.Whether or not they are karmic beforehand, I really don't know. I looked into the astrological aspects of my exes and I am not sure what to think. One of them had Saturn conjunct my sun and he got fed up with my immaturity and dumped me, so I can't say that bonded us together any. Another ex's Saturn was conjunct mine and I highly doubt he thought it was karmic (though I sure did at the time). Venus/Neptune aspects in all of my former relationships don't help me any because I always feel these things are karmic at the time. cat- oh man, your brother is in for a ride. I had an eclipse on my 27th birthday opposing my Sun and all kinds of chaos hit me in the following year. I hope having it conjunct his Sun will work out better!(My celebrity crush has Venus in Virgo at 29 degrees. I wonder if he's finally getting a girlfriend this year. Alas, it won't be me. *pout*)cat71Some interesting info Jen - thanksAnd thinking maybe I should send my brother to California for ya! I hope he has a good yr, I've warned him that alot will change and that even if it seems bad at the time he'll be able to look back at it and see it was for the best, but he has such a good heart I hope the eclipse brings him some good stuff too! ------------------...to have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever...astro junkie ... I guess it means it's best not to even consider marriage until after you are 30 ...Options: 1) Get married so no one thinks you're a huuer, but also prepare for divorce2) Write a book on what one should do with themselves for 30 years, if not for the fallible search of loveCan you imagine? Mandatory celibacy until the age of 30? I say ... look busy.------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darknessMUSTANGThis is probably a dumb question, but here goes nothing....how do you find out your saturn return? Also, my pluto is in virgo at 29 degrees. What does that mean for me as far as the eclipse goes? *Pulls out hair* astro junkieMUSTANG -Also try splitting your query into two separate threads, you might get more responses that way.Regarding finding your SR, that's the same as knowing when Transiting Saturn goes into the same Sign & Degree your Natal Saturn is in. Transiting Saturn is Conjunct your Natal Saturn, but the effects are usually described as taking a very long time, as some feel it some Degrees before, and some Degrees after. Combine that with Saturn being somewhat slower-moving, and you see what I mean. It's usually around your 28th, 29th, or 30th birthday.PS: Now you can play hide-and-seek with your Saturn Return.------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darknesslibraschoice7 Oh no, I am turning 29 this year, does that mean I'll experience Saturn hardcore?libraschoice7 I am becoming more interested in things and people that I've never have been before, mabe this has something to do with it?astro junkielibraschoice -Yeah, I think when you start to notice a change in your entire paradigm, you are beginning to see the advantages of muddling through it. Remember that thread a while back about those of us who, from a very young age, couldn't WAIT to be 30?I was one of those, I've got Jupiter Conjunct Saturn in Capricorn in the 9th House. Johnny Depp said it too on TV, he said, "Ten years in the 20's is too long."Love that quote. He's got that Cappy Moon in the 6th House. So it's different for everyone, before, during and after ...------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darknesslalalindaWhen Saturn Returns to its natal positionit activates all of the Saturn aspects in the natal chart.Depending on how natal Saturn is aspected, determines the issues you will deal with on your return. One step further would be to check the progressed Moonthis will pinpoint where (what house) and how (Progressed Moon sign) you are working through this. (Saturn Return)Not all Saturn returns are difficult, but are characterized with Karmic events. I've already passed my saturn return then. I'm in my 30's. I do have to say, I couldn't WAIT to turn 30, but when I did, right before actually, my life went crazy! I didn't expect it at all, since I was so looking forward to it. So many relationships ended and I hjad a lot of upheaval. Now that I know about the saturn return, it all makes sense. Psst, I'm glad it's over! I don't want the next one!I will post the other part of my question somewhere else, thanks!pixelpixieI have technically passed my Saturn Return. It was exact this month, about a week and a half ago.I did have a lot of crap things happen last year.. and this year with regards to my job satisfaction ( which just assures me moreso that I am in the wrong profession, and will pursue this later)BUT. My relationship broke down last year, only to be rebuilt better this year. ( Beauty from Chaos) I am currently growing a baby ( a Saturn surprise) and haven't been happier in terms of homelife, in .. EVER.... ( I am a fourth house Sun)I am turning thirty in October.I am sincerely appreciating my self, faults and all - and seeing myself clearly ( Saturn return in the first house)It has been a tremendous buildup, but I am left now, with the feeling that I can confidently overcome anything, and all the setbacks prove it.I feel more patient, and the pay off is going to be wonderful. That must be what maturation is. Why you truly do change after thirty.jenfullmoonI can see wanting to be 30 because (a) my twenties weren't all that much fun, and (b) they have pretty much been eaten by my dad's illness going on since I was 19. I am HOPING that once I hit 30 things will be less crazy and disaster-prone, and maybe I'll attract less drama and trouble. Hoping for a good relationship by then is probably asking for way too much, though :PvansiobumpRandallBump!RandallBump!RandallBump!RandallBump!RandallBump!sashavittoriaPersonally I think all relationships are formed due to past life aka "karmic" connections, but it seems what you mean here by a "karmic relationship" is one that is negative and painful and CREATES rather than RESOLVES karma...I ended a marriage during my Saturn Return (ongoing), right smack on my birthday weekend. I believe the relationship healed past karma and was ultimately positive. It just wasn't meant to last a lifetime. I think it ended because the debt was settled. Saturn cleared it away because the lesson was learned. However, I have noticed that some people START negative karmic relationships during their SR, and they might go on until they end, rather horribly, around the next waxing Saturn square. This happened to three people I know. One is still in the relationship, another one ended before the next square thankfully. The one that ended sooner ended much better, but the others were/are awful. Two have north node in the 7th.So I wonder if, depending on the rest of the chart, Saturn might bring in a "harder lesson" if the earlier ones were not mastered.EDIT: just checked and...Person 1, a Libra (relationship began at SR and ended horribly at next waxing square): Saturn in Libra in the 10th, North Node in Cancer in the 7thPerson 2, a Virgo (relationship began at SR and ended at age 33): Saturn in Sag in the 3rd conjunct Juno, North Node in Aries in the 7thPerson 3, a Virgo (relationship began at SR and is ongoing at age 33): Saturn in Cap in the 2nd conjunct Neptune, North Node in Aqua in the 3rdI find it interesting that in the two that ended, the North Node was in the 7th. There also seems to be a general theme with Cap/10th, Libra/7th, and for some reason the 3rd house. And their opposites (Cancer, Aries, Sag).RandallBump!

Person 1, a Libra (relationship began at SR and ended horribly at next waxing square): Saturn in Libra in the 10th, North Node in Cancer in the 7th
