We all set personal boundaries to protect ourselves. At the time they are set, they make sense, because we feel unable or unwilling to face what is on the other side of them. The sign of your natal Saturn describes the nature of these defensive boundaries--Example: Leo uses roles. So long as he stays "in character" he cannot be harmed by . . . or he does not have to confront . . .All boundaries are meant to move--to expand outward as we mature. But some boundaries are set so firmly in place by our conditioning that they do not move easily. This is where transits of Uranus and Neptune across Saturn come to our aid.
When Uranus crosses Saturn it simply breaks--sometimes shatters--those boundaries that have held us back (from our personal and spiritual growth) beyond their usefulness. This may involve having someone/something leave your life, if it/they are holding you in place.
With Neptune, there is usually an element of "forgetfulness", meaning that for some reason you cross your own boundary because you forgot it was there. Having done so, it is no longer a boundary, but is erased--or at least moved out ahead of you, rather like a horizon. (As you walk toward the horizon, it moves ahead of you.)
