T O P I C R E V I E Willusions_foolI've mentioned it on another thread, but I'm dying here in this situation and I want to get any advice that I can. There's a shy Taurus guy that I met and he's really sweet and everything, but I'm extremely shy too. Even though he was sitting right across from me at lunch the other day, I couldn't say a word to him--my mind completely blanked out. Somehow I managed to look at him when he was talking [not to me, but still talking] but I couldn't say anything! What do you do in this situation??~RebekkaTauroHey there,i have taurus in my sun, moon and mercury and i'm pretty shy. I think that once we open up to people we hold close and trust, that's when you see the real us. We are actually quite social and out going. Taurus tend to lure people they attract to them, we very rarely make the first move. I've never made the first move with my past girlfriends. It usuaually starts with an alluring stare and some subtle smiling, that's about all i give away when i'm interested in someone.Just let it happen, don't be too full on or direct. What sign are you btw?LeopricornSo they come to you huh? Lucky... Tauroi did fashion modelling for 3 years because all my friends said i should give it a go. i blame my libra rising, taurus sun, double venus illusions_foolI tell people I'm a Pisces, because my Sun is on the Aquarius/Pisces cusp, and my Sun, Moon and Mercury sit in the 12th House, I have Pisces Rising sextile Neptune, which squares my 1st House Venus [see where I'm going with this?]. So if I shouldn't be direct and if he isn't going to make a move, then what should I do ? That sounds like a recipe for a lot of guess work and needing other people to communicate feelings to the other.~RebekkaAzalakshHi Rebekka ~For any friendship to take off, there need to be common likes and interests. Listen to what Shy Taurus talks about -- does he like movies, music, what does he do in his spare time? Is he nuts about football, video games, museums? Find out what floats his boat, and if you like it too, then you can ask questions: "what do you think of that new cd by (x)?" I have a good friend who's a Taurus with lots of Air (Libra, Aqua). She's very social -- always asking people about their lives -- but when it comes to spilling what's going on with her, the conversation comes to a screeching halt Until she knew me for awhile and came to trust me, she could be very superficial. Now she talks to me about things she doesn't share with her other friends. I'll forward this thread to HD (he's still computer-less), he may have some insights on the matter ZalaNeophyteAza that's some good advice. As a taurus girl I am very shy and I have never ever made the first move, in spite of of my venus/mars conjunct in aries. Like a typical scorpio rising my eyes do the talking in the beginning before a word is spoken. Tauro is right, taureans would rather attract people to them. It's so much safer that way, and you don't have to suffer possible rejection. If he's one of those tauruses that are obsessed with music ( like me) you've found a way in. Someone who shares similar tastes in music with me and is as passionate about art in general as I am has found a way to my heart, no lie illusions_foolI know he's into music, but as for anything else, since he doesn't talk much, it's hard to tell! He's such a quiet person, which is something that I really like about him; people who're always talking and loud exhaust me. Also, I'm afraid to make the first move, cause I've read that guys find that unattractive, though guys that I've asked advice from on this situation have said otherwise. I'm trying really hard to get out of my comfort zone and converse with him, but it's so hard... When I really thought about it though, from what I know about him, he's everything I'd like in a guy which only makes me feel even more shy and doubtful--like what if I'm not good enough for him ? I've never really considered my standards high, but ... gosh, I don't know. I'm so frustrated and depressed. ~Rebekkapisces_girlHi illusions_fool,I've recently began a relationship with a taurus, close to the gemini cusp, virgo moon, sag ascendent and I'm a pisces, leo moon, aqua ascendent so I thought I might see if I can offer any suggestions. So far I've found taurus to be a fantastic match for pisces. They are very stable and grounding, and at the same time incredibly romantic. The one I've been seeing isn't usually that shy, but he is constantly worried about what other people think of him. When we started getting close he withdrew somewhat (became more shy) and it felt like our courtship would last forever as none of us was capable of telling eachother what the other one meant to us. In the end it was drinking alcohol on a friday night that eventually broke the silence.Zala is spot on when she says listenning is important. If he mentions something, or comments on something around him, subtly encourage him to say more, even if he thinks it to be insignificant show him that you find him and his thoughts interesting. The more you listen the more he will open up to you and more easily he will come to trust you.I don't know if this is true for all taurus men, but the one i'm seeing said the quality he first noticed about me was that I was outgoing and friendly (or extroverted as he put it). I don't know if I agree with him on the extroverted bit as I used to be painfully shy and sometimes still retreat back within myself but I think what he was getting at was if you show that you are easygoing and approachable then he is more likely to approach you. Don't be afraid to show yourself to him. If you see him across the room next time give him a smile or a wave. Believe that you are a person worth getting to know and this will radiate from you and attract him to you. I hope this helped somewhat. Good luck with your bull. I wish you all the best xosilverstoneTaurus can be shy at first, but they are very loving. ------------------Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village, though; He will not see me stopping hereTo watch his woods fill up with snow.My little horse must think it's queerTo stop without a farmhouse nearBetween the woods and frozen lakeThe darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shakeTo ask if there's some mistake. The only other sound's the sweepOf easy wind and downy flake. Well, after reading the huge, long list SweetCappie posted, I find myself even more discouraged. For starters, he does have quite a few lady friends that hang around him and his guy group, but I'm not "prettier, smarter and sexier than the competition," not by a long shot. Also, I don't get the impression he's interested in me at all, so there's no "be a challenge" or "they're persistent" in this situation. It was actually rather discouraging. Not to mention, I saw pictures of his girlfriend yesterday, who is enviously pretty.... and still only in high school. *sigh*~RebekkapidauaDangle a couple of ding dongs on a string and he'll come up to you .. Bring an extra piece of "death by chocolate" cake and say "Oh... dear, I have extra cake would you like a bite".Next thing you know, you'll be asking how to get rid of him LOL..I am just kidding. I like to tease Taurus peeps because they actually do have a good sense of humor. Once they see you in their pasture again and again, they will start to talk to you. Well, once they look up from their grazing Lots of great advice here ~Pidauaillusions_foolThat's just it though, I don't know if his girlfriend is just a ding dong or the real deal. Is it possible that I'll never get a chance?I also wanted to mention, I made a birth chart for him, even though I don't have his birth time.He has Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in Taurus, Moon in Sagittarius, Venus in Gemini and Mars in Aquarius. Here's the kicker. My Moon and Mercury are in Aquarius, and my Sun is in the very last degrees of Aquarius. His Mars is only a couple degrees away from my Mercury and six degrees away from my Moon. Also, my Mars is in Sagittarius.Wanted to throw that out there, get some feedback.~Rebekka
