I've read a couple of things for 4th house Saturn, including the strict parent and/or parents being older than most. Also, could be an absent parent. Or the house itself had a very austere atmosphere. Or, simply could be this:From www.astrologycom.com:
Saturn's positive influence includes those who enjoy very stable family relationships. It also indicates those who live their entire life in the same house or hometown.
Some of this is true for me. My parents were well into their 30s when they had me and my older sister. They didn't start off with a lot of money and worked opposite shifts. I used to watch my dad cook every morning until I started school. Then we barely saw him since he worked nights.
Both of them have very conservative religious and political views, esp. my dad. Even though he barely talks, when he does talk, it’s to express these views. Both are very much against premarital sex. There is an emotional distance that exists between all of us that I don't think any of them notice but me. I'm pretty 'Saturnine' myself, so I am somewhat okay with this.
I’ve lived in the same house I grew up in my entire life. Right now, I live on the second floor with my older sister and best friend. We pay rent.
Nothing too tragic. My sis and I have other aspects in our charts that show our parents spoiled the heck out of us in spite of financial factors.
My friend has the same exact placement. His parents are very strict, but my friend is also extremely Saturnine, so he is actually quite thankful that his dad smacked him around a bit to enforce discipline. His family also struggled to make ends meet.
Hehe, I don't know if this has anything to do with Saturn/4th, but my friend who has the same placement... his childhood home resembles the way mine did before renovations. Dark, poorly lit, and stagnant-looking… everything BROWN… obsolete wall panels… green or mocha carpets… rickety hand-me-down furniture... just looks like it hasn't changed in like 35 yrs. And not in a classy vintage way, but in a straight-up “Frank-Lloyd-Wright-gone-completely-awry” kinda way.
