T O P I C R E V I E WFlukeI recently saw something about the house systems that said that the placidus house system would not really work if one were born far north in the world, that equal might be a better house system for those charts. I'd say Norway is pretty far north.. Would I be better of using the equal system for Norwegian born people? What is your take on this? Fluke*bumpity-bump-bump*Gemini NymphBasically any place past 45 north or south latitude is going to end up wil some odd house division with Placidus. As much as I like Placidus, this can be a problem.Equal house is the alternate I use for anyone born past 45 degrees latitude. Normally I'll compare both an equal house chart with a Pladicus for people born between 45 and 52 degrees. I find past 52 degrees, you're just better off with the equal house system.MissaI was born very north and I personally use Regiomontanus. I've tried other house systems too, of course, but I've noticed that this one works best at least for me. Perhaps worth of trying?
