T O P I C R E V I E Wlibraschoice7 Hello, I know that Jupiter aspects in a person's natal chart can lead to indulgent behavior and excess. What else would one look for to find someone who REALLY over does it(especially pleasures of all kinds)? The reason I ask this is because I have seen people over do with all kinds of things...------------------Sun in LibraMoon in CancerJupiter in CancerVenus in VirgoMars in CancerAscendant in CancerI "FEEL" therefor I amneptune5probably hard aspects between:venus - moonvenus - marsvenus - ACvenus - CeresMoon - ceres------------------Virgo Rising 8'57, Sagittarius Sun/4thH 3'26, Pisces Moon/6thH 8'22"Our passions are not too strong, they are too weak. So do I over do it...I do but I am pretty disciplined. I have a lot or Capicorn in fluence too. So...yea...Maybe affliction in the 1st of 7th house. Like Sun oppose pluto or and afflicted jupiter.LeoPisCanI've noticed people with hard aspects between Jupiter/Moon or Jupiter/Mars tend to run towards pleasure or excitemnt to the point of excess. Also, I read one interpretation that said people with Jupiter/Moon hard aspects were overly catered to by their mothers and tend to need more more more of everything.Too much is just enough. Indulgence ususally fills an emotional need so I would look towards the moon first.seveneieghtorangeI have Moon square Jupiter, Venus square Jupiter . My Venus is in Taurus (11th house), Jupiter in Aquarius (8th house) and my moon is in Scorpio (5th house). My Jupiter also squares my Pluto.... From the above comment wherein people with Jupiter/Moon hard aspects are overly catered, that fits exactly my description and not just from my mother. For some reason people love to do things for me, I dont even have to ask. Its like they read my mind when I need/want something. Its been like this all my life. My family, friends just loved to spoil me when I was growing up. Now that I'm grown, I am very self sufficient, but they all still do things for me and I dont even ask... I do have a problem with indulgence, especially with vices. I have a very hard time saying NO to pleasures of all sorts... ArnickaLeo, good point on Mars/Jup hard aspects - I completely agree, and completely forgot about them Also I have Moon conj Venus [would conj here be a hard aspect? I dont know] - and I can be indulgent/lazy/pleasure-loving as well, and really theres so much Saturn and Pluto elsewhere that really this is all that could forecast that.D for DefiantHi, I noticed this thread several days ago and wanted to reply but hesitated.I'm with you, Librachoice7- Jupiter is for sure a definite indicator. Because Jupiter is essentially about greed, lust, and grandiosity. Therefore a strongly aspected Jupiter, whether "positively aspected" or "afficted"- is an indicator not to be neglected. Since the 9th house is associated with the planet Jupiter, any placements in the 9th house should not go without notice, and must be examined vigilantly. This means, no offense- but a Sagittarius rising can say a lot about the topic issue here. Or Sagittarius Sun, which, regarding the subject matter, I personally think has yet to be sufficiently explored and discussed. Paradoxically, many vegetarians have Moon in Sagittarius. One can easily associate such a phenomenon with the popular notion that Sagittarius is an animal lover. It's again paradoxical when it comes to that, as Sagittarius is also a sign associating with a love of hunting. Doesn't that contradict with the common concept of the so-called animal lover? When it comes to indulgence, doing things in excess, overdoing...I think it would be helpful to examine if there are significant aspects with one's Neptune, the 5th house, the 8th house, the 9th house (which has been mentioned above). See if the person has an afflicted Neptune, or a very weak Neptune, associated with many negative aspects. See if there's any conjunction with the Moon. See if Mars is placed in the 8th house, any conjunctions with it, or any square or opposition with it, e.g. Pluto or Uranus, particularly because both Pluto and Uranus are essentially violent planets in a way. Sometimes trines should be looked out as some trines may actually further strengthen, therefore worsen, the afflicted aspects, instead of neutralizing them; in my opinion, sextiles may be the least difficult astrological aspect. If an individual has no positive, or easier aspects to their Sun, Moon, ascendant i.e. the first house cusp, or Mercury (especially Mercury), and if the above happen to be the afflicted planets, it would be harder for the person concerned to gain or regain balance and hence diminish their over-indulgence or repeated, compulsive behaviors. It's important to check if the person's Mercury and Neptune aspect each other well or negatively, and if their Sun and Pluto are in a harmonious aspect or the contrary. The Moon should be taken into much consideration in this too. Once again, I emphasize looking for strongly aspected Neptune, Pluto, and the 9th house and any planet in that house. Over-indulgence and excessive, compulsive behaviors often involve negative astral or psychical influences, therefore the aforementioned planets (and the 9th house) would determine whether a person can conquer their indulgence or more unlikely to. ------------------"Money is temporary, happiness is forever."Some solar Piscean guy, Aotearoa, winter 2002IamI have Jupiter opposes Moon. It's true that I am overly taken care of by my mother. I read somewhere on Internet that those with Jupiter opposes Moon may be too attached to their mother or home base (eg. still living in the same house with parents till very late in life - eg. at age of 30s-40s). Also with Jupiter-Moon oppose, the person can be too easily emotionally affected by the environment. All these seems to be true for me.Subjectively I don't think I indulge myself.Kay LibraI have Venus square Jupiter and I can be indulgent at times. I have been known to splurge and I'm trying to curb that tendency now. I wonder does Jupiter aspects apply in the same way in the composite chart? Because I have the Moon trine Jupiter in a composite chart with someone I'm dating and we indulge very much. It's almost like we can't get enough. Too much indulgence can be chaotic I think. We both have hard aspects with Jupiter in our natal charts.

Too much is just enough.
Indulgence ususally fills an emotional need so I would look towards the moon first.
