T O P I C R E V I E WScrpnBlissBack in 2005 I had already graduated college and was dating this guy for 4 months. After we broke up I was really bummed and remember going out with a bunch of friends and met this guy who was a 2nd year law student at the university I graduated from. It was weird because he flirted a lot but didn't ask me on a date. I facebooked him afterwards and it was obvious after a few exchanges that he wasn't interested. "Oh well" I thought.Flash forward to now. I recently broke up w/ my boyfriend of 2 years and a week after I broke up with my boyfriend I go out with some friends and run into yet another 2nd year law student from the same university (not the same person though). Again, he flirts relentlessly but doesn't ask me out. Which this time around was fine. I wasn't looking to date but thought that since we shared similar interests we could at least be friends. After a few emails it was clear that he wasn't interested enough to pursue even a friendship. And now I think huh?? I guess I can draw a lesson from this - don't go out with friends right after a break up because I might give off strange vibes! But why 2 law students, in their 2nd year, from the same university is beyond me...Has anyone else experienced weird, possibly coincidental patterns like this? Did it teach you anything??------------------Scorpio Sun/Aqua Moon/Scorpio AscMUSTANGDo you hang out at a bar close to a college that has a law program?I've had weird stuff like this happen. I can't think of anyhting off the top of my head right now, but yeah...it's weird alright. Do you tell these guys the story behind the breakup? Law students love to hear about a conflict and give their opinions on the matter. And conflict turns them on mentally, hence the flirting. Just a thought...librarisingWeird things like that happen to me.. Such as, every boyfriend I have had I casually dated someone with a similar birth chart right before I date them... CoralFrequencyTypical law guy thing to do! jkScrpnBlissHm, Librarising that is really weird.I was thinking of some things. I did meet them around the same area, but the campus is huge, undergrads, grads, like 20,000 people! It may be due to the fact that law students are more confident than most of the students in the other graduate programs? The first guy I definitely didn't talk to about my breakup and the 2nd guy I mentioned it casually but didn't harp on it. I had actually met him before in a different setting when I was still w/ my bf. Although I was thinking, maybe its a way of giving me a measure of how far I've come emotionally/self-esteem-wise? The first time the law student was weird it kind of stung. But this time I was like, 'eh.'------------------Scorpio Sun/Aqua Moon/Scorpio AsclibrarisingCoincidence or not they all sucked. All were little cry babies who were too needy. I need my space. Now I am just venting. ScrpnBlissWhich ones sucked? The guys you dated before your boyfriends, or your boyfriends, or both?! I dated a needy guy once, oh gosh! Taught me about the behaviors I should never exhibit to another friend, let alone a bf!------------------Scorpio Sun/Aqua Moon/Scorpio AscMUSTANGNeedy guys suck! Needy any sex, male or female, sucks - if they are always needy, and it isn't a passing phase, like they're going through a rough patch. I call people who are perpetually needy, "Emotional Vampires." librarisingAll of them. They all get obsessive. Creeps. Then again all of the people in my life tend to bother and suffocate me. I like to live on my own means. So it's probably just me.
